How can the tea "party" not be too embedded with the republican party when they are republicans? If the Tea party was truly an actual party then they would have actually formed their own party not be republicans pretending to not be republicans even though they still carry the big R next to their name.
Its funny how the right-wingers like to use that map of the United States....what they don't tell you is that 80% of the PEOPLE of this country live in the blue colored areas. Most of the red flyover areas are sparsley populated.
Hey i like this conservative. He "gets it"

Jamesrage doesn't appear to actually get it at all. Maybe in his neck of the woods it might reflect that, but I can tell you with 100% confidence that the local Tea Party in my area is full of independants, and yes, about 10% Democrats.. Democrats that happened to vote for Obama. IN the three meetings I've attended, the focus of meetings is completely bi-partisan, and we discuss the issues, not party politics.

So much for the "grass roots" huh?
Also, there are the massive cuts to education, strengthening the barrier blocking social mobility. And the constant moves to privatize... everything. Allowing the wealthy to own and control everyone's finances, their health, the housing industry, the food industry, the entertainment industry. All of it. Massive deregulation takes control from the many and hands it to the few. Oh, and opposing any steps towards ensuring a living wage.
Seriously, do you not know that these things happen?
How many of the of the Tea "Party" candidates are independent or democrat? The voters may be a mix of independents, democrats and republicans but it still does not change the fact that all the so called tea party candidates are republicans. If I am wrong then please show me how I am wrong.

Tell us again how the Tea Party is dying off.......when Obama gets his ass tossed to the curb in 2012......

That's weird, I remember listening in on a Tea Party rally near Andrews St (I used to work in the First Federal building), and hearing basically racism, and anti-Democrat rhetoric. It was all about "taking our country back". Taking it back from "them". Them being gays, Jews, blacks, Hispanics, and women.
In the Rochester chapter, there are approx 370 members, and some stragglers. of those, maybe half are registered republicans.

Close, but not quite. According to recent polling, the republican candidate that would beat Obama would be "any of the above." But thanks for playing!
You could run as an independent but then you would be ignored and demonized by the media. The Tea Party sold themselves out because they wanted faster results and immediate attention to their issues. They were seduced by the idea of immediate gratification. I'll bet a lot of them thought they could take over the Republican Party. That was a mistaken notion.
About half of the Fortune 500 paid no income taxes.
There is a difference between Republicans and a lot of conservatives.
We have people on both sides, left and right, who feel they have no other choice but to vote either Democrat and Republican.
I have plenty of problems with the Republican Party but by comparison I have much more problems with the Democrat Party. Many, many people would love to have a viable option to the corrupt two party system that is perpetuated by forces in the media for both sides. The Tea Pary at it's core were protesting against government.Republicans polticians were a target of their rath too. It was a mistake to think that the Tea Party could work within the Republican Party to effect the kind of change they wanted.
You and many people just buy into what you are told by the enemies of movements like this. This was no mainstream Republican movement like it is now.
Oh please??? I haven't heard anything like that from my local party, or anything NOT coming from the lame stream.. LOL
You're either lying or in poor company..
