To simply call them a cult, as so many are, is diminishing the danger of this group. They are followers of a man, not a moral compass and they risk falling victim to their own sick loyalty. They conduct themselves like characters from a dystopian novel about the lead up to the next, "last" great fascist regime. They've got the cartoonish but charismatic in his own way leader with a sordid history, the perverted politics of greed and heavy-handed nationalism, the hyperbolic words of admiration from his cult, the threats against society itself if things don't go their way.
