Liz Cheney: January 6 panel will subpoena Ginni Thomas if necessary

Because she lied. She even lied about writing a note. Someone else wrote it. Like the Russian Collusion lie, this one is preposterous.....the president grabbing the steering wheel, etc. She's a frigging loon.

Well, the Senate report only mentions her three times, in footnotes, in a 125 page report, so it's quite a stretch to say she's been cleared. IMHO Sund's testimony is rather damning,. He requested the National Guard six times and was denied six times, being told it was bad "optics." It's beyond odd that a Sergeant at Arms would be concerned about the optics. That seems like pure politician speak.
The members of the Capitol Police Board who were in charge on January 6 did not appear to be fully familiar with the statutory and regulatory requirements for requesting National Guard support, which contributed to the delay in deploying the National Guard to the Capitol. In their testimony before the Committees, Paul Irving and Steven Sund offered different accounts of when Steven Sund first requested National Guard assistance during the attack. Phone records reveal a number of conversations between Steven Sund and Paul Irving on January 6. However, because there is no transcription of the conversations, there is no way for the Committees to determine when the request was made. National Guard assistance was delayed while Steven Sund attempted to contact the Capitol Police Board members and obtain the required approvals. Regardless of what time the request was made, the need to await Capitol Police Board approval during an emergency hindered the ability to request District of Columbia National Guard (“DCNG”) assistance quickly.

The intelligence failures, coupled with the Capitol Police Board’s failure to request National Guard assistance prior to January 6, meant DCNG was not activated, staged, and prepared to quickly respond to an attack on the Capitol. As the attack unfolded, DOD required time to approve the request and gather, equip, and instruct its personnel on the mission, which resulted in additional delays. Prior to January 6, USCP informed DOD officials on two separate occasions that it was not seeking DCNG assistance for the Joint Session of Congress. The D.C. government, by contrast, did request unarmed troops for traffic support, and on January 6, 154 unarmed DCNG personnel were staged at traffic control points throughout the city. As the attack unfolded, USCP and the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia (“MPD”) both pleaded with DOD officials for immediate assistance. DOD officials claimed they received a “workable” request for assistance from USCP at approximately 2:30 p.m. The request was presented to the Acting Secretary of Defense and approved at approximately 3:00 p.m. For the next ninety minutes, DOD officials ordered DCNG personnel to return to the Armory, obtain necessary gear, and prepare for deployment as leaders quickly 4 prepared a mission plan. Miscommunication and confusion during response preparations, demonstrated by conflicting records about who authorized deployment and at what time, contributed to the delayed deployment. DCNG began arriving at the Capitol Complex at 5:20 p.m.—nearly three hours after DOD received USCP’s request for assistance and more than four hours after the barriers at the Capitol were first breached.

I guess we'll disagree, but I find it ridiculous that a committee allegedly investigating January 6th wouldn't investigate the breakdown in security and leadership's role in that.
Fair enough. Maybe, after this long and complex investigation by the 1/6 Committee wraps up and the House leadership doesn't change in Jan of 2023, possibly another Housinvestigative committee may be formed to probe and address these security issues leading up to and on 1/6/21. I'd like to see five reasonable Republicans selected on that panel. I'd be ok if two of them were Rep Cheney (good chance she won't be around) and Rep Kinzinger (he won't be around).

A Trump WH lawyer CLAIMS she lied/someone else wrote the note.

So the Trump WH lawyer claims.
Why would he lie when he knows his hand writing can be verified?

Sad that they've sold you on this "reasonable" congresscritter bullshit. I keep saying it, but no one on the left seems to even acknowledge it. Nancy's trashing of 230+ years of House precedent to exclude the members selected by the minority has permanently damaged the institution - for the worse.

The New Liberal World Order Democrats have been ruining the institution since at least 2016.

There is good news, however. That will be when we wake up on November the 9th.

What we are witnessing is how the world has worked since the dawn of time. Humans are generally complacent and compliant until they can't take it anymore from a despotic and inept government such as we are witnessing right now. The United States is at a crossroads because of being dominated by a far left-wing press encouraged by the owners of those outlets for more and more hatred and slander against conservatives and America itself which gives them better ratings when their employees like Joy Reid, Jake Tapper, Angel Camarotta and many others engage in hate speech daily against whites and are not called on it or fired. They hire only the most hateful and flamboyant racists they can find who denigrate our brave police and military and demean white people who don't go along with their attempts at instilling guilt and shame of white people who they claim is the reason black and minorities are where they are.

This coming from the guy who says the woman under oath is lying about her handwriting. 😂

Yep. She is. She is a whackadoodle. The Queen Pelosi Communist tribunal doesn't want to hear from those Secret Service guys and when they had Trump's attorney in, they were careful NOT to ask him if he could confirm or deny her account. NO questions about that asked at all. Hmmmm. Wonder why? Here people the world over are calling her a liar and they don't touch the topic with a ten-foot pole in order to "exonerate' their star "witness" who wasn't.

Who is next? Baron Trump? Ivanka? The housekeepers?
It won't be the dog that's for sure. Isn't it weird that Trump didn't have a dog? The beautiful Ivanka has already done her part and spoke the truth to the committee. Is she a TINO(Trump in name only) now.

What do you think about Trump not doing anything for 187 minutes to stop the insurrection?

Not paying much attention to the QPCT (Queen Pelosi Communist Tribunal)

What did Ivanka say? That her husband lied and knew he lost but wanted to enact a coup?

Other than "be peaceful. Go home now"?

Was he supposed to ride in there with his musket?

She agreed with Bill Barr that the election was not stolen.

He said "Go home now" after 187 minutes of watching what was unfolding on Fox news? Everyone from the lovely Ivanka to his White House counsel were trying to get him to do something to stop this and he refused.

and..........????

So, umm, during a mainly peaceful demonstration where nothing happened during that 187 minutes, he was supposed to do what exactly?

OMG! The case is closed then. Trump is done. No way he will be able to run in 2024.
I merely answered your question about what the lovely Ivanka said. Stop being so dramatic!

Something? Anything? More than what he did?

Trump received calls from politicians inside the Capital urging him to put a stop to this. He knew that they were in danger and did nothing. He enjoyed watching this happen. He hoped to delay long enough to stop the process. He never even called Pence to see if he was ok.

You know this wasn't just a "peaceful demonstration". Maybe you don't because you seem to be a Qanoner.
