Liz Cheney, January 6 Committee Suppressed Exonerating Evidence Of Trump’s Push For National Guard

Really. Perhaps you can show me one rebuttal containing proof the Republicans lied in their report then? If not, then who is being obtuse?
"The Select Committee failed to sufficiently investigate the security failures, and as a result, the Capitol is no safer today than it was when the Select Committee was created. In order to properly protect the institution that the framework of American democracy rests upon, Congress must take a serious look at why the Capitol was ill-prepared and what security changes are needed to ensure adequate protection for Members of Congress, the thousands of staff who work in the Capitol complex, and the millions of people who visit the site each year."

That is a Lie. Pelosi brought in RETIRED LT. GEN. RUSSEL HONORE to review Capitol Security. I doubt his recommendations will ever be implemented as they would change USCP in ways that nobody on the Hill really wants to consider. USCP is not now and never has been a true protective service for the Hill nor is it trained up for riot control. I seriously doubt it ever will be. Their primary function is giving people directions, escorting visitors and Congresspeople through the halls and carrying peaceful demonstrators out to buses so they can be taken off for arraignment.

"The politicization of Capitol security directly contributed to the many structural and procedural failures witnessed that day. Through the Subcommittee’s robust oversight of the United States Capitol Police (“USCP”) and supporting entities, we are committed to ensuring necessary reforms to USCP operations and the Capitol’s physical security."

The above is a take. Its not a statement of fact. Its not even an opinion. Its a take and a take is advocacy cloaked as something else.

"After refusing Minority Leader McCarthy’s selections, Speaker Pelosi then appointed Representative Kinzinger, leaving the committee with nine members, not thirteen. As a result, the Select Committee only included Speaker Pelosi’s hand-picked Members. 26 The Select Committee held hearings, issued subpoenas, and published a flawed report without the number of members required by H.Res. 503."

The above is not necessarily a lie. However it completely ignore the fact that Select Committee assignments are made BY THE HOUSE SPEAKER. That is why they are called Select Committees. Is Loudermilk telling us that he does not know this or is purposefully misrepresenting the state of play? In addition the House Speaker gets to determine the rules for Select Committees. I have no idea why Loudermilk devoted so many key strokes to his bullshit about the selection of the Select Committee and committee rules.

The rest of the Republican report is simply a long winded whine. The committee was not restricted in what it would or would not include in its final report. Do we get to see everything that goes into every government document? NOPE we don't.

I do find it funny that the two points that whiners in this thread want to make about the final Select Committee report, testimony from Trump's driver on J6 and who called up the National Guard and when they were called upon are both addressed by the committee.

It doesn't matter what Ornato said because Trump is still responsible for the riot. Why did he want the NG on January 4Th but he refused to call the NG when the riot was underway?

That might have been a good question to ask had Congress narrowly focused their impeachment on whether Mr. Trump failed in his responsibility to "take care" that the laws are enforced.

Alas! The Democrats, as is their wont, overshot.

You wrote -
"That might have been a good question to ask"

And then you provided a historical what-if in order to not answer?

Why did he want the NG on January 4Th but he refused to call the NG when the riot was underway?

On the 4th trump thought thousands of Antifa people were going to start a fight. That way, NG would protect his supporters.

On J6 it was obvious Antifa didn't show up, so he didn't need them.

The paid FBI liar who went off the reservation and FBI threw under the bus when it became strategically beneficial. The once revered FBI has jumped the shark.
Turns out they can still arrest people, even if you don't like them.

LOL what???

Arrests her for what?
Well she is protected from lying and obstruction as a member of congress by congressional immunity so that leaves that out. No doubt the FBI could ABSCAM her though. The FBI DOJ only needs a target and a friendly judge and jury. Charge her in her home state, overcharge her. Lot of money that was sent to Ukraine laundered back. Lot of war machine cash flowing, insider trading going on. Did she Sandy Berger any classified material out of a scif? She must have an uncrossed "t" or an undotted "i" somewhere. Ping her phone, subpeona her tax and business records. Bankrupt her defending herself. The FBI can be creative. If they can nail Martha Stewart they could certainly get Liz for something. We have learned it doesn't matter.
For me bankruptcy after an o dark thirty SWAT raid would be Karma enough. Leavenworth would be icing.

The Democratic-led Senate panel found that both the FBI and DHS' Office of Intelligence and Analysis "failed to issue sufficient warnings based on the available intelligence indicating January 6th might turn violent."

Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., the Senate Homeland Security chair, told reporters on Monday that Jan. 6 was “planned in plain sight and yet it seemed as if our intelligence agencies completely dropped the ball.”

For over three years, I have done countless media interviews, answered numerous subpoenas, and testified before congressional committees and grand juries about the 45th president’s actions regarding the National Guard in the lead-up to Jan. 6, 2021.
Unfortunately for the propaganda press, the truth never changed, nor did any of my testimony.

Indeed, Donald Trump authorized at least 10,000 National Guard troops days before Jan. 6 in the Oval Office with the secretary of defense, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, chief of staff to President Trump, me, and others present. Pursuant to that authorization, senior DOD officials were dispatched to D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s office and the Capitol Police. Each of our respective testimonials, under oath, confirms this key fact.

Now we learn that Cheney and her band of miscreants suppressed evidence that not only corroborates the truth about Trump’s authorization of National Guard troops but also completely exonerates Trump from their ginned-up charge of insurrection.

Thanks to new and brilliant reporting from The Federalist’s Mollie Hemmingway, Cheney and her Never Trump comrades have been exposed for excluding the testimony of career Secret Service Agent Tony Ornato from the evidentiary record, not just in the J6 committee’s report, but also from the bogus Colorado court case. Ornato testified two years ago that Trump had indeed authorized the National Guard days before Jan. 6.

When Ornato’s newly revealed testimony is combined with what is already known about the rejection by Bowser and Capitol Police (under House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s control) of additional requests for the National Guard, the false Jan. 6 political narrative advanced by Cheney and others falls apart.
It is factually and legally impossible for them to have rejected the National Guard if President Trump had not previously authorized their use.

Manipulated disclosures and omissions — most notably the Russia hoax, Hunter Biden’s laptop, 51 intel agents letter — by those in government to achieve a political objective have caused incalculable damage to our country’s national security. Those responsible for participating in these corrupt acts must be exposed and held accountable.

Where does this leave us? Just as the FBI previously lied to a federal court and withheld exculpatory evidence during the Russia hoax to illegally spy on Donald Trump, Cheney and her J6 committee ran a deep-state disinformation operation against the American people. Now caught, she and her corrupt syndicate of liars run to social media to print in a last-ditch effort to save face and support their collapsing falsehoods with baseless personal attacks.

Regarding the claim of Trump authorizing 10,000 NG troops in D.C. for J6, what would their role have been during Trump's insurrection?

Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato testified that he overheard discussions involving White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows requesting Mayor Muriel Bowser to deploy as many National Guard troops as necessary for the event. Ornato recalled Meadows saying, “The president wants to make sure that you have enough,” and mentioning a willingness to ask for “10,000” if needed. This testimony apparently contradicts the committee’s earlier statement that there was “no evidence” of such a request.
