Well, I suppose hearings could still take place into Nov.

“It’s not necessarily the last day of the hearings,” she told the audience.

“I think we have felt it is very important that the investigation be conducted in a way that is rigorous and disciplined and responsible,” she added.

“That has meant collecting evidence from many, if not all, because of course some people took the Fifth (Amendment) or some people refused to appear, but collecting evidence from all those around the central figure on January 6 before we issued a subpoena for him.”

shrug...

Sure...let them have their lame duck fun. It won't change anything.

Well, of course, Ms. C. would love the committee to be permanent.

That nobody has become a somebody thanks to the media.

That "nobody" was in the discussion as a near-future GOP VP or Prez nominee less than 2 years ago.

...until she blasphemed against the orange lard and master.

Do these words just fall out of your brain randomly, or were they supposed to be in that order?

If VP Pence would as well, I could also see this going into overtime.
Not necessarily. The FVPOTUS is busy campaigning for election deniers several states. He won't do anything to taint his GOP creds for a 2024 nomination.

I actually have to agree. The DOJ will still indict DJT. Myself, I would like for the extra innings by the Jan6 Committee be spent on revealing their findings on a few Congress Critters.

There won't be any indictment. There's no evidence to support one.

The dog and pony show's narrative is not enough. Besides, the narrative isn't for the DOJ. It's for the useful idiots.

Yup. Pretty much.

There's a slight chance that you may be correct, but mostly unlikely unless someone scares AG Garland to get cold feet.

During an appearance on MSNBC on Saturday morning, former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade emphatically stated that she believes Attorney General Merrick Garland will files charges against Donald Trump and then singled out a specific criminal act that will be the basis for the indictment.

Asked by the MSNBC host what would be the easiest charge to file against Trump, she claimed his attempts to get former Vice President Mike Pence to block the certification of the 2020 presidential election has all the hallmarks of a slam-dunk case.

He is talking about the classified docs. Doj will indict him for that and there is plenty of evidence to convict him

My thinking exactly. The 1/6 House political circus is, thankfully, coming to an end, and also thankfully being largely ignored, which is already more than deserves.
It would behoove you to actually watch it, before pretending it isn't happening.

And then after the GOP takes the House in the midterms, They will hold hearings and ask the questions the 1/6 committee intentionally avoided. Perhaps we will find out who really incited the 1/6 riot.
And then you woke up, and Mom made you Oatmeal.

And of course they will find all of the missing trump ballots from the 2020 election, then re-instate trump into office, imprison Biden and his entire administration
at Guantanamo while awaiting execution. Then they can go down to Dallas to await the arrival of JFK Jr. so he can take his rightful place as VP, replacing Pence, who failed miserably at the job on 1/6.

If Republicans take the House people will pay attention to them, but only in the way that people can't help but slow down to look at a traffic accident.

Whom do you suspect incited it? I remember a heavy set reddish-haired guy speaking to a crowd, blaming VP Pence and telling people they would lose their country if the didn’t act. Then someone gave them Trump banners and they stormed the Capitol, some chanting “Hang Mike Pence.” So I suspect the red head —and suspect his hair as well.

But I am open to other theories. What’s yours?
