Live results - Georgia Congressional 6th district

If the trafalger group's prediction is correct, then ossaf will win by a razor thin margin

My apologies; I meant to have Handel's name next to the 50.46%.

Heavy thunderstorms in the three counties (DeKalb, Fulton, and Cobb) that make up the Georgia 6th District. Flash floods will affect Ossoff voters in southern DeKalb more than Republican voters in Fulton and Cobb.

When God himself is stepping in to help the Republicans then you know the Dem candidate is bad.

Why should voting be limited to one day? Can voting last a period of three days?

Ask Georgia, they were the ones who decided that someone who doesn't live in the district could run.

Welcome to modern American politics.

For some time have I believed we needed true campaign finance reform. But good god, if this doesn't highlight the necessity, what will?

Why does rain effect dems more than repubs?

Every state allows this. You're only required to live in the state. About 20 Representatives currently don't live in their districts, about an equal number from each party, with various degrees of egregiousness.

In Ossoff's case, I think this is a particularly poor attack against him though since he grew up in the district, lived there almost his whole life, and lives just about a mile outside it so his girlfriend can walk to Emory.

People like the highground. Therefore the high ground tends to be more expensive. So richer people generally live on higher ground. And wealthy folks tend to vote republican.

Probably something like that.

Trafalgar Group, the polling firm out of Atlanta, Georgia that came the closest on the the trump election missing 3 states, had it 50.46% to 48.59% Handel with 0.95% undecided last night.

2020 Presidential Election Interactive Map and then click on what's new; then click on election news for more polls and good discussion.

The other Windows for the Senate, House and Governor are very good .

Thank you- Bookmarked for later

Clinton lost this CD 155,077 to 160,022; or by 4,945 votes. Very surprised Romney didn't do more than a robocall since he won GA-6 by 71,690.

HRC lost Cobb(pt.) 39,375 to 54,310; HRC won DeKalb(pt.) 42,160 to 28,093; HRC lost Fulton(pt.) 73,542 to 77,619 .

It would be an upset. Could make some in the house nervous- Could also be blow back on the R health care plan. Perhaps people started realizing what he(Trump) promised and what the House passed will leave them with no HC

Welcome to modern American politics.

You don't hear these same posters complain about the tens of millions of GOP dark money out-of-state PACs have dumped in KS-4, MT-AL and GA-6. Too bad the SC-5 special today got no air time .

It could last 5 days, why not 30 days?

I've yet to see a valid reason for extending voting beyond some folks are lazy and can't peel their ass off a couch. With absentee or early voting many localities do offer voting alternatives many days in advance of an election.Multiple days if open polls are not needed

Then why not make election days holidays? Allow people to vote with out them worrying about how their job would be affect.

It seems like a bad idea to allow the government to mandate time off so people can vote. I suppose that bag of worms is already open on other related issues, but still, I don't like the idea. These kind of ideas make it seem like the government is more important than everything else.

I've never once had a problem voting on Election Day, ever.

Why would they? The company I work for will give the hourly workers up to 3 hours paid to go vote

You've never early voted? You can generally vote weeks ahead of time.

How would that work? You're house on fire let it burn fireman get day off to vote? Having a heart attack then die, surgeons took day off to vote. Robbed, don't call 911 no one answers they voting. Or does not everyone reap the benefits of that Holliday. Even on current Holliday most business stay open. July 4th is on Tues. City State Fed offices will close and a few banks but the Wal-Mart minimum wage crowd still chugging along.

There are voting alternatives in place currently to help the people you mentioned. They just need to take some initiative and responsibility to research those alternatives.

My goodness, with the money Dems spent on this pissant seat, they'd better win.

Right. Lot's of Asian Jim Bob's and Hispanic Bubba's out there... lots. Giving cover for a racist comment is not usually a path taken by most. I gotta give you respect for the bravery, if not for the lack of forethought of the act. Yup, nothing racist at all in the totality of the statement in that post. Don't know what I what thinking? Surely, nothing demeaning toward white conservative voters could ever be mistaken for a racist comment... I mean... they're white - right?

Sorry that you are so easily offended. I'll tell Bubba Smith about your butthurt.

Rednecks come in all colors.:lamo

Yes, and in the entire state of NEVADA you also get access to paid time off to vote depending on your working hours and/or distance from where you work. We also provide something like 3 weeks to early vote.
