still an idiot, hard to believe someone could be SO out of touch but then this is the condition of the current GOP.

from the article:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday said systemic racism doesn’t exist in the United States, pointing to the elections of former President Barack Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris to back up his claim.
During Graham’s appearance on “Fox News Sunday,” host Chris Wallace played a clip of President Joe Biden stating Tuesday that the country needs to confront systemic racism “head on” after former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was convicted of murdering George Floyd.
“Is there systemic racism in this country in policing and in other institutions?” Wallace asked Graham.

“No, not in my opinion,” Graham said. “We just elected a two-term African American president. The vice president is of African-American-Indian descent. So our systems are not racist. America is not a racist country. Within every society, you have bad actors.”

Lindsay Graham, still way out of touch!

He forgot to mention that his best friend is black.

Of course the real irony of him claiming "we" just elected a 2 term black president is the fact that he and his followers did nothing of the sort.

My tiny town has a new letter that recently published an opinion with similar sentiment. I have a feeling that there is some centralized coordination of that narrative amongst Conservatives.

Graham is correct -- there is no such actual thing in America today as "systemic"/"institutional"/"structural" racism, not since some time after the Civil War.

Then lingering Jim Crow racism was only nationally skin deep and not "systemic", nevertheless it was still a bad cancer that was fortunately excised in the 1960's before it metastasized into "systemic" racism.

Since then there hasn't even been a basal cell carcinoma of racism spread in "systemic"/"institutional"/"structural" occurrence, merely isolated "outbreaks" and pockets (KKK remnants), that's all .. and those had greatly dwindled by 2013, dumb bunny false anecdotes notwithstanding.

In the past 50 years there has been equal opportunity, and especially so with the advance of the internet in the 90s. Thus the failure to thrive of African American communities clearly has another explanation instead of the obviously false constructs of "systemic"/"institutional"/"structural" racism.

But communist critical race theory (CRT) formalized in the 1970s from communist critical theory (CT) manufactured a lot of false constructs, like "systemic" racism, the egregiously racist "White privilege" (their dumb bunny mistaking for a legacy European socioeconomic system that isn't in the least "racist" but in which African heritage people on average simply do not fit well), etc.

Then in 2013 the Marxist communist organization Black Lives Matter (BLM) formed to create chaos in attempt to gain political power, which they did by pushing false CRT constructs onto the emotionally susceptible dumb bunnies in conspiracy theory fashion, until in a few years a mass hysteria was created that the fantasized construct "systemic"/"institutional"/"structural" racism actually exists when it clearly doesn't.

Yet no one has ever presented an actual example of such a thing as "systemic"/"institutional"/"structural" racism today. Instead they alluded to similarly unproven constructs/incidents and said, "see, that's "systemic racism"" when both their premises and their conclusion was laughably false.

No, Graham is correct .. and for proof, just study the OP essay found in my signature link -- the whole truth is there .. all you have to do is read for comprehension.

Question for Republicans: do you believe there is systemic persecution in this country against conservatives and Christians by the media and liberals?

How can there not be? They're charging 500 people with federal crimes for a goddamned kegger!

There is not systemic racism in America. Yes there are some racist, or all colors. But the problems are within our cultures and our families and our poor leadership. Advocating racism is done by the democrats, they preach it along with victimization. Why do you think black americans are buying that BS? Because their party leaders keep telling them it's so, but who passed most of the harmful legislation that helped to ruin black families and black owned business? Democrats. The loss of the two parent family is killing America.
People are't waking up saying, how can I oppress blacks and hispanics and gays today. BS.

Just as much as their are individuals who are racist, there are individuals who are marxist, ultra liberals, socialist, communist who all are working for their agenda. The numbers are not what people believe but their voices are load. The media in america is very much leaning to the left, as are our educators and the elite in Hollywood. Those are the voices that are being heard.

I remember when Graham said that black people and immigrants can go anywhere in his state, but only if they have the correct opinions.

In a televised campaign event, US senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said African Americans and immigrants can “go anywhere” in his home state but they “just need to be conservative”.

(1)

It was bone-headed of Lindsey Graham to suggest that the election of Obama and Harris
demonstrated that there is no Systemic Racism (SR).

That being said, Graham is correct.

There is no systemic racism (widespread racism organized and maintained by a network).

There are plenty of racists in the US, from ALL races, but they are primarily just individually
racist – generally there is nothing ‘systemic; about it.

And the government sure isn’t organizing racist activity or policy either

(2)

While I side with the left on most issues it bothers me that the left jumps on the racism
bandwagon and it was wrong of Biden to claim that there is SR.

I get that he wants the Black vote but he can simply do what is right for the country and
Blacks will get the message – he doesn’t need to suck up to them.
