Actually I would assert that Trump's insistence on using EO's which are simply stupid band-aids regarding an issue like Immigration springs in the main from his insistence that he gets all the credit for everything even if everything is just an unfunded band-aid:
1) Trump could have had legislation during the first two years of his term in office. He blew that off
2) Congress is gutless. If you offer them that you are willing to simply sign EO's their gutlessness kicks in and they will NEVER pass Legislation. Pressure is the only thing that gets the Congress off its gutless ass and working on Legislation.
3) Biden for his part presented a Legislative offering to the Congress and Senate within the first few days of taking office. Congress refused to take it up.
4) When Donnie ordered GOPer Senators to reject the Senate Supplemental Biden threw up his hands and signed an EO. Why? Because the Senate Supplemental was the last chance for Immigration legislation before his term of office would end.

So, President Trump failed to get legislation passed while he had Majorities in both Houses on the Hill. He then went on to order Senate GOPer's to shoot down the Senate Supplemental this year. This was a Bill that Senate GOPer's had actually negotiated and was the most heavy handed Immigration and Border Bill they could have ever hoped to pass.

GOPer's and most specifically Trump are not serious about dealing with Immigration preferring to run on it as opposed to improve on it. The whole Immigration issue since at least 2017-2018 has been performative art on the part of the GOP. They have been unserious about actually doing something about Immigration and the Border.

Set up a date at City Hall for my speech & another speech. Notified The People who were interested in the problem of The Date. Asked them to attend.
After speeches I asked The People to Stand in agreement. They all stood. We were interviewed by our local newspaper. Long Story short. We won.

Maybe go back and listen to the last minute of Harris's speech and try to twist that into unhinged. You are amusing.....First you complain I use Trump to illustrate racial divides because it's been going on so long because that is too recent. Then you complain my example from 30 years ago as too long ago.
