Why does the left care more about the 1% that pay about 40% of the Fed income tax revenue but stay quiet about the 44%(last count) who pay Nada, zero, zilch and zelda in Fed Income tax?

For the same reasons the right care more about the top 1% than the bottom 44%

Why are those 44% NOT paying? Are they not working? Cuz, obviously if you're not getting income, you're not going to be taxed for it.

Taxing the 1% at a higher rate is smarter because they have more money, and unlike poor people, they don't reintroduce it into the economy in any meaningful way. You take a bit more of the money that they're never going to spend anyway, and then you make everyone's life better. How is that even remotely difficult to understand?

I got bad news for you. I'm one of them that don't pay. I work.

Not only do I not pay, but over MANY years, have received the riches wealth redistributed to me in Child credits and the EITC

Come on down... stay awhile(LOL)

Well, if that were true.... Why didn't the right come to the rescue of the 1% that pay 40% of the tax generating revenue when they had control of our Gov?

I always ask the good questions(wink)

Yeah, it's certainly possible that you end up getting back more than you put in due to things like this. I don't think that should be possible, and I don't think children should be subsidized or encouraged in that way.

Yes, it is very possible because it's taking place with millions like me. Not only do I not pay, I get thousands back in refunds. This is State as well

Agreed

Did you know that the EITC was a Republican Idea?

Oh... my....

most of the Democratic party for the last 40 years hasn't been great either, so yeah

Going back to what you brought up in your first post "Because they're NOT working"(Not paying a Fed income tax)

Have ya seen the unemployment numbers lately?

Your questions are not all that. I'm hoping you make whatever point you want to make real soon

Huh? Are you bitching about the taxes you don't pay? If what you say is true, it makes you sound like just another looking out for myself republican. Reap the benefits while giving nothing back.

Okay... so the top 1% is no longer paying 40% of the Fed income tax?

The top 10% is no longer paying 60%

Nope.... Just giving you a reality check. I don't make the rules

it makes you sound like just another looking out for myself republican.

Nope, again I don't make the rules and I'm not a Republican(Rolling eyes)

There is no need to try and rephrase my words to make them mean something I never said.

No, it was to" counter" your words(rolling eyes)

And neither were you
