Let me just state right here about responsible gun ownership...............

A properly trained firearm owner will store a weapon unloaded and locked up where kids can't get it.
I believe that's what the thread is about.
Untrained firearms ownership.

Some states don't require a single thing to make sure people who buy and use firearms know anything about safety.

All potentially hazardous equipment has appropriate regulations. Firearms is the only class of potentially hazardous equipment which cannot be properly and reasonably regulated because …well, what part of “shall not be infringed” do you not understand?

You didn't answer the question. Try again.

So we are being forced to live in terror and blood because we are a free and proud people, you see.

You're not living in terror. Don't be ridiculous.

Try to buy an automatic rifle.
See if there are not infringements in place to do so. Mainly cost.

How easy is it to buy a claymor, grenade launcher, or flamethrower? Are those arms infringed?

Well, all I can say is that's bloody stupid if that is the case.
It's not - it was a shot at Florida drivers. Their average age is 95, and they don't give a shit any more.

The US doesn't require a driving license?

No, the US doesn't, and no state in the US requires a driver's license to own a car, or anything else for that matter.

Why should we allow any more unconstitutional infringements?

How is requiring safe storage of a dangerous item infringing on your right to own a gun?
That's like claiming tamper and kid proof bottles for meds and cleaning products prevents you from having them.

Safety of the public.
Why do we have infringements now?

Why no make it so claymors can be a perimeter to a piece of property instead of fences?

See DC v Heller. It's unconstitutional to require that guns be locked up in such a way that they aren't immediately available for use in self defense.

When did I say that?

No it's not. It's not even close.

Criminals won't. Hopefully people with small kids will.

It seems as if we're at the stage where even the most minor thing we ask some gun owners to do is met with instant dismissal and claims it's against the 2nd.

Even basic gun safety stuff.

How many are being challenged in the courts? If public safety was paramount, we couldn't own any guns at all. Or kitchen knives. Rock climbing would be illegal. Cars would have mandatory governors.

Cars require a course on how to operate and a license to prove one can safely follow rules and safety

And the only way you could enforce a safe storage law (except as an add-on charge after the fact) is by getting rid of the 4A.
