I'm feeling a lot of apprehension after 2016, even though Biden looks to be in a much better position than Hillary at this point and has been steady for a long time now. The rhetoric that Trump has been peddling has been pretty unnerving. As you can see from this thread, a Biden victory is all the "proof" Trump supporters will need to blindly assume large scale voter fraud cost Trump the election.

Currently on 270towin Joe Biden has 290 EC votes without any of the swing states. He can win without Texas and Florida. Obviously Donald Trump cannot.

Who told you it is less than a wee away? Unless you count the hours, it is exactly one week away before every polling place in America opens for voting. We also will not know on November 3 who won the presidential election because state absentee ballot laws vary so many of them will not be counted yet.

I read this morning that 40% have already voted, and early voting and mail-in ballots continue. So we might just know that night. Not the final, exact number, but if people keep taking advantage of getting their votes in early, we might have enough to know who got the EC.

Early voting does not always mean early counting. Depending on the state, ballots could just be sitting in boxes until all of the polls close on November 3. Someone who is very active in the county's Democratic Party told my mom that is the case in Florida.

Court rulings on voting coming down every day, big events like ACB, propaganda overload, political street violence, accusations of voter fraud, intimidation and disenfranchisement. Weird is right. Trump has a better chance of re-election than I have of getting dealt two pairs in poker. I only played poker in college, but I distinctly remember that getting two pairs wasn't an incredibly rare phenomenon.

Fortunately Trump's chances are less than losing a Russian Roulette. Then again, the consequence of that outcome seems about the same.

Exactly. If I have a 12% chance of getting a bland sandwich from my local deli, I can live with that because the negativity of that potential outcome is pretty small. If there was a 12% chance that somebody didn't strap a bomb to the bottom of my car, I'd be too scared shitless to start the engine.
