Leftists constantly ask why we are such staunch supporters of the right to keep and bear arms. Here is my answer.

No, @jaeger19 said he wasn't opposed to it being legal to carry on a commercial plane. That isn't him supporting the current law that has racially disparate outcomes.

Maybe it’s hard for you to grasp, it seems it is. Our founders warned of government enslaving unarmed citizens. You and I debate because we have our constitutional right to free speech. We are free to do most anything because of it. If our founders are correct and history strongly suggests that they are indeed correct, then guns in the hands of law abiding civilians are necessary to insure that freedom. I believe history. I believe the greatest group of men to ever live. So when leftist filth, who aren’t willing to spend the time and effort to research history or our founders words, come out trying to ban my gun and subsequently open the door to tyranny, it’s a big ****ing deal.

And NO your guess is not as good as mine. Our founders own words tell US they feared a federally controlled standing army. They even said that it leads to tyranny and the people need to be able to stop it with violence if it ever became necessary. Quote “the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants”. They actually warned us. You and I both. Unfortunately you either are ignorant of it or you just don’t care. Perhaps you, like many intellectuals, believe that it can never happen here. You don’t believe history. You don’t believe folks who have gone through it. Like the know it all goodie two shoes who lives in a super great neighborhood not understanding that there are people so rotten that they would rape your daughter and wife while you watch then kill them and you last just to make you suffer more. Power corrupts and our founders knew it. Humans have been enslaving, abusing, and killing other humans forever. It’s happening somewhere as we debate.

Get tougher on those few that abuse firearms not the millions and millions who don't. Those law abiding gun owner are the reason we can debate today. Our founders knew it and history confirms it.
