Lebron James, I expect better.

Finally he gets vaccinated but he refuses to be the role model we would hope for.

I have totally had it with this guy.

Next up, Kyrie Irving. Will he take the vaccine or sit out all the Net's home games?

I guess taking the knee in protest only works on some issues.

What role model are we hoping for?

Maybe the funniest thing I ever read on the internet:

Is Cruz the lamest little twerp ever? lol

What is wrong with his comments? He obviously was talking about the importance of getting vaccinated, which is staying healthy, and using his own life as an example.

Why is an NBA star being quoted about vaccinations? I thought we were following the science. Where's Dr. Fauxchi when we need him?

It is September 29th.

Maybe a million people would be vaccinated today if he took the shot and spoke to it as a public service.

But no, now he sends the message that he was strong armed into it, which he was. This is not gonna inspire so much as on ekid to get the shot. It will inspire others not to.

Sorry, some folks have no choice in weather they are a roll model or not.

The date is totally irrelevant.

There is no proof he was strong-armed into it.

It's somewhat like Rebel Wilson's weight loss. Her weight loss would have been a powerful message to those who wish to have better odds of surviving Covid. I was hoping that was why she was doing it.
It's no secret that vaccines are much less effective in the Obese and Covid is WAY much more deadly in the obese.

It turns out her weight loss wasn't inspired by a desire to increase her chances of surviving Covid by getting fit and healthy. It was about having a baby. I'm 100% behind her on that. I just had hopes such a highly regarded public figure would lose weight because they wish to increase their odds of surviving Covid.

So, good for LeBron for whatever his motivation for getting the vaccine. But, it would be nice to see celebrity being used to promote vaccines in a positive light.

As a role model, I'd like to see trump lose weight. It would be a powerful message, don't you think? Everyone knows who he is. Rebel Wilson...not so much.

What do you mean no proof? The preseason starts Sunday.

The date is wholly relevant.

You have no proof LeBron James had to be talked into getting a COVID-19 vaccine during training camp.

Preseason games don't count. The Lakers can lose all of their preseason games and finish with the NBA's best record.

Maybe a few million MORE would take the shot if Tamika Mallory, Opal Tometi Patrisse Cullors and Alicia Garza all promoted taking the vaccines.
I'd bet money all of them HAVE BEEN fully vaccinated and simply prefer to keep it a secret, because the "brand name" organization Black Lives Matter™ adamantly refuses to take a stand on the vaccine issue.
So if you don't mind, I won't bitch and moan about LeBron because at least he has more guts than a lot of his peers.

I thought Lebron James was a basketball player?

Sigh. I'm black and I don't know who those people are. You don't get to decide who "should" speak to or for black people. Who should be speaking for the white people?

Sigh, I never even suggested that anyone is "speaking for black people".

But since you touched upon the notion, lots of people, black, white and everything in between, DO look up to these activists and listen to what they say.
And they've done plenty of good work.
And that's why it is so important that they help.

Radio silence on vaccines is bad enough, going anti-vaxxer is downright horrifying, and that applies to ALL activist groups, black, white, or purple polka dotted.

That will explain the Wakanda as your location.
