Many of us figured this out: Never Trump mean no longer voting GOP. Why? Because Trump now is the GOP.
If you want to oppose him from within the big clown-tent, you'll end up beating your head against the wall. You're not going to out-primary the Base. And, that means Trumpism will represent the GOP in 2022.
He commands the base of the party. And the base of the party comprises the foot soldiers that every politician wants and needs -- whether to power small-dollar donations or turn out in primaries. The person who controls the base controls the party. Period.
