Again, no. This book is so obscenely pornographic in its story and images involving underage kids that I don’t even know if I can post what it contains without being banned for violating forum rules.
I'm fine With romantic teen fiction featuring all kinds of orientations with some exceptions.
No need to be so graphic that it offends even a liberal dominated School board.
Alright comrades. I ventured into the SJW trenches to find out the truth, and read the whole comic so you wouldn't have to. I would like to present you my opinion. Liberal school board members can leave now, as this might offend your sensibilities.
There are three explicitly sexual images in the comic.
One depicts two gay men naked on a Greek pot with the implication that they are going to have sex, in the context of the main character having sexual fantasies. Significantly less explicit than actual historical Greek pottery, btw. The Greeks were wild. I don't think this is problematic, as it's mostly just nudity.
The second is similar, and depicts two men kissing in the main character's thought bubble. They are naked, but you can't see anything. I feel like this is fine as well. For these first two I've seen more sexually explicate things in museums.
Finally, the only real sex scene depicted in the comic, the main characters is shown wearing a strap-on with their partner sucking it. They are in grad school at this point. Definitely sexual. I personally think this is fine (see post earlier about teenage virginity rates) but if you wanted to take issue with the comic being too sexual, this is the most sexual page.
So, all the sexual explicit scenes happen with adults. But what about the CP argument? as far as I can figure the child porn argument is based on a single scene early on in the comic. The main character, a biological female, is shown topless as a prepubescent. They are non-binary, and as a kid wanted to copy what the boys were doing. Now personally, I think it says more about the reader if they think this is a sexual scene, but I'm assuming this is where people are claiming the comic is child porn.
Overall, the comic covers a lot of themes; periods, gender identity (specifically from a non-binary POV), adolescence and becoming an adult, sex and sexuality, a lot of issues specific to trans people, social norms, body positivity. I think it's fine. A lot of the stuff really only applies to trans people, but I imagine someone who is trans would find it interesting, as it basically documents the authors life from childhood to adulthood and the challenge they faced.
The comic, in case you want to go through it yourself.
