"Law abiding citizen (at least law abiding up to that point) Richard Darren Emery, 46, has been charged with the murders of his girlfriend, her mother and the woman's two children in the Friday night shootings that ended with an exchange of gunfire before police arrested him.
...Emery, 46, was still in hospital Saturday and expected to be transferred to jail once released after law enforcement charged him with 15 counts in the slayings of Kate Kasten, 39, Zoe Kasten, 8; her brother, Jonathan Kasten, 10; and their grandmother, Jane Moeckel, 61.
The motive for the St-Louis-area slayings was unclear on Saturday evening as police revealed the identities of the those involved..."
Put it down to just another gang related mass shooting...not a problem we need to deal with.
345 mass shootings in 2017...looks like a similar story this year.

Calling the incident 'horrific', CBS News reported St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar said during a news conference: 'What can possess someone to take the life of a child, is beyond on me - and we may never know.
'This one in particular was the worst example of a domestic violence case. Anytime you have a domestic violence case you worry about the safety of the victim, and this would be your worst nightmare.'

Looks to me like it was domestic violence, not gang related.
In either case, tell me, what exactly would you have done that would have prevented this? Exact details as much as possible please. No generalities as generalities does not solve problems.
~ I don't see how laws can protect society from crazy people ... ':doh
You've got to be really gullible to trust the Daily Mail but even if this did happen....
...he wouldn't've needed a gun to kill these people, having or not having a gun wouldn't've made a difference, a hammer would've worked just as fine.
So, we have an anecdote....
What about a law that bans people from owning guns ?
Considering the number of defensive uses of firearms exceeds the homicides to a staggering degree...
I dont know...that seems like a stupid idea. Hell...if you are in the UK, the next thing you know they will be banning knives and locking people in jail for speech others find offensive. No...it sounds like a really stupid ****ing idea to sacrifice our most basic freedoms because of the bad actions of .000000000000000023% of the gun owning population. What about a law that bans people from owning guns ?

The Daily Mail is a tabloid. With any kind of news source you've got to be skeptical but particularly with tabloids.Wait, you're suggesting that there's a possibility that these 4 people are still alive and were never shot ?
Are you aware of the Daily Mail ever reporting a false story like that ?
I don't know about the UK but here is a story of a mass hammering in San Francisco.Go to a country like the UK...find me a story where someone did a mass "hammering".
Or a mass attack using any blunt instrument
Are you STILL refusing to accept that guns make all the difference...they transform wanting people dead to actually making people dead.
You can only do it with guns.
People don't kill people ... but give them guns and boy do the bodies start piling up.
Guns kill people (or rather the bullet that they fire do).

Oh it does ?
Really ?
And what would be your source on that ?
Excuse # 2a

...how about cars? Do think we should ban cars because some people INTENTIONALLY misuse them and cause more deaths than are caused by firearms every year? You willing to ban cars? How about cell phones? You know...they can be a valuable tool...but far too many misuse them and cause the death of innocent people. SO...you willing to ban those as well?
I believe you have been provided the source.
According to the FBI hammers and other blunt objects killed more people than rifles.
What about a law banning murder?
Can you give any links to a "mass hammering" ?
Has anyone taken a hammer to a concert and hammered 58 people to death (plus wounding many more) ?
The Texas cop killer Mr Johnson...killed 5 cops.
How many do you think he'd have killed if he'd ambushed them with a blunt instrument ?
Sorry your apologetic rant won't wash.
Manner of the murders isn’t the issue, mental illness is.
