LAPD DELIBERATELY shoots an Aussie Reporter with a rubber bullet

I never said anything about knowing or not knowing. I'm taking issue with your use of the word "shot" with no modifiers. "The reporter was shot" carries certain implications, and being shot with a non-lethal rubber bullet is not one of them.

It's melodrama. Even if the force was excesive, it's melodrama.
You're quibbling ****ing shot because it might look bad for the moron who shot a journalist?

Great Canadian Beaver, this is daft.

You're equivocating "shot" (and it's obvious implication that it was with live ammunition) with "impacted with less-lethal rubber projectiles" to make the cop out to be a murderous monster.

I'm with you on this one; it's pretty daft, indeed.

You're getting pedantic. A gun firing a projectile is a shot.

An Australian reporter, targeted by the NG. I was mistaken; she was shot in the chest-fortunately while wearing a bullet-proof vest or we could have been reporting a hospital case.

You were doubly mistaken. She was shot by a Los Angeles cop. He’s owned by Democrat Karen Bass and her Democratic colleagues on the LA City Council, not Donald Trump.

Irrespective of where she was shot this was a deliberate act of violence against an unarmed woman, doing nothing illegal or provocative.

She was shot in the head and grabbed her foot?

I think you watched different video than the one you posted...

She wasn't shot in the head. Whoever told you that lied to you, and they believed you would be too ill informed to even check it out and find out that they lied to you. Whoever told you this looks down on you.

Also it was a California cop that shot her... not National Guard...

Which, kinda figures, knowing Californians.

She was reporting like any other reporter does. Without them we would just have liars and kooks on the internet telling us what is really happening. Reporters on the scene are needed more than ever in this time of Trump and his lies.

The cop works for Democrats, not Trump. Maybe he didn’t like her wiggling her ass and her ponytail at him like she was at a Pride parade instead of standing in front of his gun in the middle of a riot. 🤷‍♂️

NY Post photographer.
Oh no.

I hadn't heard that! That's awful! Do you have a link to a news report that says this?

she was doing her job. Sounds like if an officer shot someone in the back of the head you’d blame the person shot for walking on the sidewalk

Bad things happen to people standing in a riot zone right in front of 50-armed riot police. I recommend not standing where she was.

And being a reporter, not wearing any identification that I could tell, is not some "get to go anywhere I want" excuse.

I think it's adorable how our MAGA are steadily transitioning from "serves her right" to "what a heinous Democrat California cop!"

It's cool to watch the transition occur in real-time as new talking points are dispersed to the foot soldiers by the media.

They're not very bright, but they eat what they're fed. When they're told to dance, they shuffle their feet.

They're proud of their lack of integrity.

Reporters have to wear identification on a public street? What kind of police state are you looking for here?

No, captain, when you pull the trigger of a firearm, and a projectile fires out of it, you have shot it.

Or are you really arguing that skeet and target shooting aren't shooting?

Every damn time there’s a spontaneous demonstration some officer puts the LAPD in the middle of a large lawsuit.

The settlements were huge for police actions during the BLM demonstrations — not following policy for shooting less-than-lethal rounds. Eye lost, testicle smashed; can’t remember the other injuries that demonstrators sustained.
An eye and testicle in one shot!? :)

You should probably read the post I was responding to first... she said she was 'just doing her job' or something, as if this means she is immune to whatever shit happens when it is the opposite, putting yourself in a riot situation means you accept the risk. Wearing a Reporter hi-viz vest is probably a good idea, like the Army Medics where theirs.

You're the only person who can't tell she's a reporter.

Even the cop knew.

Christ on a cracker. The imaginitive things the MAGA crew spews is really out there. Zappa had nothing on these folks.
