It's impossible to make this stuff up.

L.A. labor leaders seek minimum wage exemption for firms with union workers - LA Times

Labor leaders, who were among the strongest supporters of the citywide minimum wage increase approved last week by the Los Angeles City Council, are advocating last-minute changes to the law that could create an exemption for companies with unionized workforces

"With a collective bargaining agreement, a business owner and the employees negotiate an agreement that works for them both. The agreement allows each party to prioritize what is important to them," Hicks said in a statement. "This provision gives the parties the option, the freedom, to negotiate that agreement. And that is a good thing."

So, with a remarkable slight of corrupted hand, labor is trying to force business to accept union organizing, if they want to avoid the damage a $15 minimum wage will cause their business. And the equally corrupt City Council is rumored to be accepting of this provision.

Can you say blackmail?

So the question is, where do you stand in this latest game between labor and the politicos they own in government in Kalifornia?

Yep. You might say that. But you will not be able to prosecute.

Figures. What is good for others is not good for self (or unions in this case.) Gotta love the epic hypocrisy of saying other business models have to live with increased minimum wage standards but those politically protected should be able to have "leeway to negotiate a wage below that mandated by the law."

So they want the freedom to negotiate what works best for them, but they don't want individuals to have that same freedom? Yep, sounds legit.

Yup, its a scam where special interests and politicians team up against the public.

The ethics and values of the left. :doh

Eventually one of them will stagger into this thread, mumble something about Booosh and wander off.
