Some interesting news from Syria.

IHS Janes.com - Kurdish forces expand airstrip in northeast Syria

"Satellite imagery obtained by IHS Jane's shows an airstrip in northeast Syria, which is reportedly being used by US forces, has been expanded in recent months..."

Fallen.

Do you reckon it's going to be used for future arms supplies to Kurdish forces?

Fallen.

Arms, food, vehicles, Patriot Missile Batteries, etc.

All are potentials. A few things for sure: it isn't built (so far) to be capable of being used by US fighters or bombers; it isn't the smaller size that would be used by Harriers, A-10's, or VTOL airframes, and; it has too small a ramp area and not enough natural force protection to be used as a RON site so it probably, at the very most, is just to be used for what are called "3 and 15" stops for tactical cargo aircraft.

Getting their dirty little hands into Syria. Violation of international law... yet no one questions.
