Kimmel’s suspension prompts free-speech Republicans to reconsider their boundaries

Thank you for saying this. It's indeed lonely. We are seeing all the warnings of the founding fathers coming true... party politics over individual representatives, partisan in-fighting, and one side trying to constantly quell the other in a battle that destroys human rights for everyone. There is no self-insight.

The left did it for the better part of a decade using social media platforms. Their cancel culture was just fine because it was against their political rivals. It doesn't seem to matter that we now know that Biden directed Facebook and Twitter to censor right-wing views and deplatform right wingers.

But now we are supposed to feel sorry for them because their own tactics are being weaponized against them?

The only thing I feel sorry for here is America as a whole. Once the dems get back into power, they'll radicalize further. Then the GOP after them. The pendulum just keeps swinging more extreme until the government wins and human rights are a pale shadow of what they were.

People have become so stupid it's hard to fathom.
I see you are having trouble distinguishing between private pressure and government pressure.

unnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng

Really?

It doesn't seem to matter that we now know that Biden directed Facebook and Twitter to censor right-wing views and deplatform right wingers.

Both of those refer to “government pressure”.

Would somebody please summarize the Areopagitica? Thank you! :)
Well, here's Wikipedia, if you need to be directed. In brief, it was an unlicensed pamphlet published in 1644 against the prohibition of unlicensed pamphlet, written as a speech to a parliament that did not abolish the licensing, against which its members had formerly agitated, for over fifty years afterward. The same idea popped up in the Stamp Acts that alienated the American Colonies. But the pamphlet was widely respected, described the practice of "prior restraint" as unknown to the ancient civilizations England idolized, and inspired later descriptions of freedom of expression.

Your opening was good. However if you believe the problem we have today is because of the "left" and Trump (MAGA) has not involvement we will disagree.

seems we are going to have to put up with more partisan bs from both sides till who elect decide to represent us rather than a Party.

The recent overcorrection by the right is because of excessive abuse of power by the left over the past 10 years when they were at the helm. The pendulum keeps swinging wider and wider.

I agree wholeheartedly with your second sentence.
