North Korea is not "leftist." By no measure are they leaning that direction.

Then you would have to argue that totalitarian leaning governments are inherently leftist. Government power can be inflicted right or left, we should not discount that for political opportunism.
 
In our style of government, the left wants more government, the right wants less. Thus, the left wing wants the government to control all it can. North Korea is different how, other than being more successful at it.

The point is they are not anything in western governmental context, they are Communist / Totalitarian in nature. From our point of view very little of North Korea's governmental controls qualify as left or right.

You might be able to bend logic enough to make it look like communism is a "leftist" ideology.

But I think the major factor here just might be the fact that North Korea is a Dictatorship, with a Dictator.

This is what happens when 1 person has absolute control over an entire country, it's human nature. It has nothing to do with communism or "leftism".

In this country, Communism has been adopted by mostly Leftist.

OK, let's call it one step removed from Socialism. The millennials are leaning toward Socialism. They probably were never taught about Communism.

The right claims to want less, but it doesn't jibe with their actions. They just want the government to control different things.
 
It depends on what part of the government. There are constitutional duties like defense, and breaucratic ones like Dept of Ed, the EPA, and many other alphabet soup breauracies that could vanish tomorrow and no one would notice they were gone.

Hopefully, if trump gets elected he'll cut them back or out. We'll have to see.

NK isn't left or right, it's a totalitarian state, which doesn't fall into our left/right way of thinking. It can be based on left/right, but rarely is. Totalitarian nations are usually just a mess.

No, it's a totalitarian state, not communist. If it was communist, it wouldn't have a dictator in charge. Yes, I know that the only way communism works is by being a totalitarian state, but that doesn't mean that all totalitarian states are communist.
