'Republican Sen. Rob Portman (Ohio) on Sunday said the bipartisan infrastructure bill will not include improving IRS enforcement of existing laws as a way to fund the new investments.

Portman, during an interview with host Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union,” said stronger IRS enforcement of the existing laws is not being considered in the bipartisan infrastructure package because of pushback from senators, and because Democrats are reportedly considering a similar proposal in their reconciliation package, which will have “a lot more IRS enforcement.”"

You realize, of course, that this means that the Republicans prefer that the IRS concentrate on shmucks like you and me while the real money skates

They will never vote for anything. They are lying. They are trying to pull the bullshit they pulled on Obamacare. Force compromise by feigning concern, bill gets gutted trying to please them and none of them voted for it.

**** them 100%.

I think his point sailed WAAAYYY over your head.

Drain the swamp, right? I thought the Trump party was fighting against the "elite"?

The point that you seem to miss is that they are lying. McConnell, "I intend to be 100% against anything in this adminstration" would never allow them to vote FOR anything. They were dragging it out to kill legislative time and slaughter the bill in the end.

Thank you Senator Portman!

The White House is fully devoted to Big Tech's goal of total elimination of the merchant middle class. Without it, they control all money, all products of all kinds, and have total political power over everything and everyone.

The reason to want lots more IRS auditors is to add a new way to destroy all competition to the billionaires. Even if the IRS finds nothing wrong - the costs of an audit and defending in tax court would destroy most small businesses. The goal - always - is destroy the merchant class for the International super rich elites.

That's why the government is pay most and vastly more than $15 per hour - plus throwing piles more money their way - to make certain the merchant class can't get employees even if offering #30 an hour for dishwashers.

The difference in employees we see working now? Completely changed. It is increasingly either high school kids or retired people on SS, neither able to be paid double and triple full time pay by Biden not to get a job.

The core of the lockdown? Destroy the merchant class - and succeeding so far for over 500,000 - that will reach a million or more within a year - while declaring the operations of the billionaires all exempt from the identical rules.

Well, if you can't keep your contributors from paying their fair share of taxes, what good are you to them?
