Kav goes Hack on his FIrst Public Statement

I was talking about post #8...you know, the one I quoted that started this current conversation.

Here it is:

So as I said... He posted it here as fact.

Read the actual words. "There's a charge that.......and that entails a LOT...."

If we want to be honest about the actual words on the page, the only thing he explicitly presented as fact is that there was a charge that Kennedy and Trump were negotiating for months. And you can't very well claim he implied it was fact when the next thing he says is that he doesn't accept it as true yet.

He qualifies his post by citing a tweet saying "NBC now confirms".

It's fake news, pure and simple.

.

When a reporter for NBC News tweets it out before confirming it, it's the same damned thing.... Abramson posted it as "Confirmed by NBC" and you posted it on this forum as fact.

Fake news is fake news.

.

Wow. That's some bracing dishonesty there.

NBC never released it as a story.
Abramson was wrong and retracted.
No, I didn't.

This seems to be confusing for you.

He "consulted" with Kennedy, and outsourced the pick to the Heritage Foundation. A wide range of fascists.

Kennedy and the Heritage Foundation are fascists? Could you please educate yourself as to what fascism is before you make an even bigger fool of yourslef.

WHOA. He didn't say NBC confirms. The tweet he quoted (hence quote marks) said NBC confirms. And person tweeting "NBC confirms" =/= NBC confirming.

It means this was another sloppy reporter who maybe has to go to remedial journalism classes or paying attention school. It doesn't provide a basis for the whole "fake news" routine.

No confusion.... You posted it as if it were true.... along with posting Abramson saying it was confirmed by NBC.

If an NBC News political reporter hadn't tweeted it before confirming the story, we wouldn't be having this conversation... But she did, making it "Fake News"... Fake news that you were all too eager to propagate, just as I would have done if I read the information that you had.

My point isn't that you did anything wrong... My point is that this was another example of irresponsible behavior on the part of the so called "mainstream new media"... aka more "fake news".

No, I didn't, but I understand your need to lie and assert I did.

Odd, your incessant need to do that.

This is what you posted:

Oh, it might even be a little worse than that. There's a change that Kennedy and Trump were in negotiations for months to get Kav on the court, and that entails a LOT of very troublesome things.

"BREAKING: Looks like my hunch was right. The fix *was* in, as NBC now confirms. This was a backroom deal that Trump deliberately hid from the American people by pretending he was vetting candidates. He *wasn't* vetting candidates; he *got* this vacancy by making a secret promise."

Like I said, I'm not blaming you.... I would have believed it to be true also.

An NBC News political reporter tweeted that story out before confirming it, leading to Abramson and a whole host of others believing it was true. Why is it you won't admit that it was irresponsible for her to do that and absolutely qualifies as "fake News"?

.

I said to my husband, this guy is an ass kisser

My first reaction to his opening sentence was "ewww" Really too bad to introduce yourself to the American public with such a statement. Reminded me of the first cabinet meeting when they all went around the table praising Trump in turn.

I didn't say I believed it to be true, and I didn't post it as fact.

Why continue to be so dishonest about what anyone can go and read for themselves?

Is there a point to doing that?

You just can't address my point can you?

You accused me of something I didn't do. IOW, you lied about what I posted.

Until you address that, there's really nothing to talk about.
