Former WH Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has left the Democratic Party and become an independent.

"Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines" is the title of KJP's new book, to be released on October 21st.

KJP urges Americans to "embrace life as Independents" in an assessment of what she sees as a broken two-party system, and what it means to be part of the growing percentage of our fractured electorate that is Independent.

"I think we need to stop thinking in boxes and think outside of our boxes and not be so partisan," said KJP.

KJP is among many former democrats disenchanted with what the Democratic Party has become - a largely dysfunctional political party lacking leadership, and a cohesive message (other than "Destroy Trump!"). Many former democrats - Kyrsten Sinema, Joe Manchin, Tulsi Gabbard, Bernie Sanders, et al, left the Dem Party and became Independents.

Good for KJP! I hope her book does well, and encourages other democrats to abandon their troubled party.

Independents are now (by far) the largest voting bloc of the U.S. electorate, and make up 43% of the electorate.

Imagine how bad the democratic party must be for someone like her to reject it.

On a side note, I just found out she's 50 years old! She looks like she's 35.

I disagree.

Karine always has her prepared "pat" written responses to any question. She reads the prepared responses from the paper perfectly.

Psaki was better, yes. Psaki was smart and didn't rely on prepared responses. Psaki was still wrong most of the time, but at least she deserves some credit. She could think on her feet.

Karine of course deserves no credit. She is like a tape recorder - only capable of spewing pre-written messages.

I don't expect her to last very long.

I wonder how honest her book will be.

Instead of chickening out and claiming she’s going to now be an independent, she should have just gone and joined the Republican Party. She’s sure grifting like a Republican with her book deal, bitter she didn’t land some television job on some network.

Bernie Sanders has never belonged to the Democratic Party.

Damage control. She was paid to lie about the dysfunction of the Biden WH.
Who can blame her for going rogue?

My bet is you loved her before this :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Rate this as a BIG...so what

You’d lose that bet. Huge.

Fact is, I never paid any attention to any of her press conferences or sound bites on the nightly news. I did notice all the hate generated against her on DP by MAGA and anyone else that disliked Biden. Of course, there are hypocritical posts like the OP made that somehow states, “Good for her” forgetting about all the vitriol that was previously posted against her.

Do you know who Joe Walsh is? Not the guitarist, but the former U.S. Representative from Illinois. I couldn’t care less about him, either.

Sounds like she wants to make bank. I noticed her book is only dealing with the 3 weeks prior to Biden dropping out/being forced out. I guess that allows her to claim she never saw Biden as the wreck that the rest of the country saw.
