Can't wait to hear the jury interviews. More than 2 this time.

Next stop is the civil case. It's absolutely toasted. As are so many careers from this case.
 
Just imagine, the next time Dever is called to the stand in a case, for a DUI or something. And the defense asks her if she is having a false memory, or if the commissioner talked to her before her testimony, or why she told the FBI something different than what she testified to. She's done as a cop.
 
Longest, most expensive misdemeanor DUI trial in the history of ever, and it will be sent back in a hot minute for retrial after appeal.
 
I have to qualify this. She did her blue line duty, so she is protected from the very top of BPD, so she will end up in an evidence room or something like that where there's never a chance she will have to testify against a defendant to the truth of a matter, but will get to ride out the rest of her time until she can retire with benefits.

Also Proctor did an interview with 20/20 in May that was released on verdict day I haven't watched yet because it will make me puke. I know he cries and makes himself the victim though. It sure would be poetic if it could be used against him in court some day.

Ohh disgusting. The McAlberts gave an interview to ABC. Some absolutely sickening, self serving lies. Same ones we've heard and debunked for years. I will post some quotes and clips later. The best part I've heard so far is when Brian Albert didn't come out of the house to see what was going on with his buddy from 6:30am when Jennifer McCabe woke him up, and when Canton police came into his foyer to talk to him (whenever that was at least an hour later) was because he was in his underwear and the body in his front yard under his window was outside his jurisdiction.

Says she came forward because she wanted to share a message with the [O'Keefe] family, which is that it isn't their fault that Karen Read is innocent, the Commonwealth and the investigation couldn't actually prove anything. She is sorry they're sad about the verdict but it wasn't her (Read's) fault and she hopes they find who did it.

She believes something happened to him inside the house and he was placed outside.

All of them I think. Brian is the cop, the leader of the group. His little brother Chris is a follower of Brian his whole life. The girls are sisters. And Matt is a computer nerd that married into them all. Brian is setting the example for the script they prepared. Don't give yourself away with body language. Neutral natural posture. Hands in lap. Feet slightly apart. No tapping fingers. No itching. No hands together fidgeting, no crossed arms, no crossed legs, no tapping feet, no leaning forward, no leaning backwards, no constant blinking etc. It leads to all of them looking absolutely ridiculous, especially as they also try to keep all their lies straight. Besides Brian they're all messing up something even in that one frame, but they're still trying. If they were being asked actually difficult questions, it might be harder to do all that. They're able to just read answers off their script like "the guy never came in the house."
 
The leaning away points to some difference of opinion on something. Might just be some personal conflict.

Or one not wanting to continue with the coverup lest it come back to bite their heads off.

After all of this there is still no established cause of death. No explanation for the arm wounds, for instance.
 
Cause of death was the blunt force impact to the head that caused multiple skull fractures. It wasn't immediately fatal, but was most likely immediately incapacitating. The cold could have sped it up, but I doubt it. Based on the phone battery temperature, he and his phone were in the garage all night until 5:07am when Jennifer McCabe called Nicole Albert and told them Read was on her way looking for O'Keefe and they had to put him out. They might have thought she could track his phone or watch. They claim she had access to his Ring camera. Lots to think about. Shame nothing will ever be done.
 
That’s what I meant. We know he died from the head wound.

But we don’t know how he got the head wound or arm injuries.

I’m wondering if this will lead to State or Federal investigation?

Seems like it should.

I would venture that framing someone for a murder is a serious offense worthy of further investigation.

Could be interesting. Would all be speculating though, the 6 or 7 that know won't be telling anytime soon. And guessing by the number of participants of this thread, not very fruitful.
 
I'm not usually one for body language analysis, especially for something important like determining the truth of something. Here though, we already know the truth, we know they're involved and lying, so I find it very interesting.

Something I found really interesting was this moment. It happens many times throughout the interview with all of them, but Jennifer is terrible at hiding her emotions and lying, so look at this.


Her face when she's asked and starts to talk about how she didn't make the 2:27am hos long search:


and then her face a split second later looking at Brian, which she does and everyone does before and as they answer. Always checking in with Brian.



And the interviewer was so softball. Didn't even know the time of the 2:27am search, or the significance of it, and didn't call out Jennifer about how Kerry Roberts testified that she had lied to a grand jury about hearing Read ask her to do the search because Jennifer McCabe had asked her to essentially. And Jennifer McCabe had clearly lied about that story on the stand this trial.

This was such a bad idea for them. They did not hire a PR firm obviously, or they would have stfu and kept as low a profile as possible for as long as possible.
