The voters like her???
ROTFLOL... she was polling at about 0% before the first votes were cast in the Iowa caucus. The Democrats didn’t even like her... ROTFLOL!!!
Now you’re stuck with the Commi... ROTFLOL...
PS>she has a voting record Left of Communista Bernie (The Red) Sanders. So, it’s safe to make the claim she’s a Commi.
I posting this before and the theme is worth reposting.
Republicans have a long, disreputable history of conflating any attempt to improve American lives with the evils of “socialism.” When Medicare was first proposed, Ronald Reagan called it “socialized medicine,” and he declared that it would
destroy our freedom. These days, if you call for something like universal child care, conservatives accuse you of wanting to turn America into the Soviet Union.
It’s a smarmy,
dishonest political strategy, but it’s hard to deny that it has sometimes been effective. And now the Democratic VP candidate is someone who plays right into that strategy because she has progressive views.
The thing is, no candidate in the Democratic Party is actually a socialist or communist in any normal sense of the terms. None want to nationalize our major industries and replace markets with central planning; some have, like Bernie Sanders, expressed admiration, not for Venezuela, but for
Denmark. He’s basically what Europeans would call a social democrat — and social democracies like Denmark are, in fact, quite nice places to live, with societies that are, if anything,
freer than our own.
But Republicans can't run on their policies, which voters generally dislike. They can't run on their only major economic achievement -- tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. They can't run on ripping babies from mother's arms and not tracking the parents. They can't run on failing to pass another Covid relief package. Nor can they run one their surrender to the Covid virus. So, they run on claiming the other side are Communists.
As I said, it's smarmy and disreputable, but indicative of what the Republican Party has become.
