This is great news. The "honest services fraud" law is absurdly vague, allowing prosecutors to turn almost anything into a crime, even where no real crime has been committed. As the law stood, you could be convicted under the honest services law for things that would be considered merely unethical, regardless of whether or not you actually got anything out of it.

I'm surprised that only 3 would have overturned it altogether, but it's good that the court was unanimous in its main opinion.
