...The Tibetan Book of the Dead. Absolutely a brilliant read thus far, and I'm only 50 pages in. I suggest any student of philosophy or religion pick this up if they get a chance.
 
Good read imo as well, although I read it so long ago that I don't remember many details.

If you are interested in a basic primer regarding the eastern religions, without the indepth philosophy side presented (ie for informational purposes), I've recently been reading a book written by a U.U. minister (Wade Wheelock) entitled "Considering the Asian Religions". An internet buddy of mine from another site sent me a copy. Although I don't agree entirely with the author's viewpoints, it has been a really informative historical read.
