Just one rule and they broke it...

Maybe lions and tigers came later, who knows. But there is a snake mentioned in the creation story and snakes are carnivorous
So this all knowing God was wrong about snakes. Makes you wonder what else he was wrong about

Animals were not always carnivorous...

"And to every wild animal of the earth and to every flying creature of the heavens and to everything moving on the earth in which there is life, I have given all green vegetation for food.” And it was so." Genesis 1:30

It'll be that way again in paradise...

“And the wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them. And the cow and the bear themselves will feed; together their young ones will lie down. And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. And the sucking child will certainly play upon the hole of the cobra; and upon the light aperture of a poisonous snake will a weaned child actually put his own hand. They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.” Isaiah 11:6-9

That is unscientific nonsense.

The Bible would differ. God made all the animals on one day.

Snakes were not carnivorous in the Garden of Eden, where no animal, including Adam & Eve ate meat.

God did not permit meat to be eaten until the time of Noah's flood.

"where there is no law, neither is there any transgression." Romans 4:15

There was a law/rule

The animals in the Garden of Eden were not allowed to eat meat - as proven to be by quote Biblical verse

Elora, sorry to ask a personal question, but are you an active Witness ?
Do you attend a Kingdom Hall and have elders you can refer to ?

Yes, and I also have an extensive library to refer to...

We don't know what their diet was either - does that mean it's none of our business whether they were vegetarian or not ?
We don't know if Adam & Eve had navels

Of course it's our business...because according to you, Adam & Eve were expelled from paradise for breaking God's law, and we, their descendants, are suffering for it still. Despite the claim of Christians that Jesus died for our sins, we have still not received absolution for Adam & Eve's sin.

Doesn't our punishment/suffering not make it our business ?
According to the Biblical narrative Adam & Eve were vegetarian and also the creatures. (Gen. 1: 29 & 30)

So you are an active Witness
You surprise me as Witnesses are encouraged not to engage in public debate

So where, in your library, do you feel you have evidence/quotes to back up your claim that Adam & Eve could eat meat ?

That is what you're claiming right ?

If they hadn't eaten the forbidden fruit we all would be walking around naked. Think about it

This is my fascination with @Elora also. Having been raised a JW and talking to my family who are still active members about Elora and DP all of them say Elora shouldn't be doing what she is doing on this site.

Why did God put a forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden?

Some people use this as an argument against God's goodness. But it's actually just the opposite.

Think about it:

God gave Adam and Eve one rule (Genesis 2:16-17). Just one.

They had a plethora of choices for delicious, nutritious fruit (Genesis 2:8-9). And only one was forbidden. Just one.

God created Adam and Eve "very good" (Genesis 1:31) and had fellowship with them (Genesis 3:8-9). So they had no reason for insecurities, concerns, or fears. None. Not one.

But God didn't want robot love any more than you or I would want it.(1)

So He tested their faith.

And man—without a care in a perfect environment, with every reason to trust and obey his loving Father—sinned at the first opportunity, broke the one rule, and broke God's heart.

This event is not an argument against God's goodness, but an argument for it...especially because God immediately began to redeem mankind from his sins.(2)

Skeptics and non believers don't understand that God created man and set up some rules. First and foremost God gave mankind free will to choose their behavior. This allowed for the choice to choose good over evil, right over wrong, to follow Gods plan/rules and to accept Christ as lord and savior. This meant that he didn't force them to make a choice, but allowed to to choose the path of salvation by accepting Christ and leading a life according to the teachings of Christ. Many people don't make that choice and blame God for problems that come about. There problems are often because of those who they come into contact with who are not christians and who have not accepted Christ or sometimes because of their own bad choices. Bad things happen to good and godly people as well for the same reasons, poor choices, or someone else's actions. If they have accepted Christ they are forgiven if they repent of those sins. Those who don't repent, who haven't accepted Christ and tuned from sin aren't so fortunate.

I have a good friend who was dying of cancer. The doctors despite their best efforts and long treatment were not able to cure him. It came to the point some years back that they had informed him and his family that he would not live more than a few weeks and advised to get his house in order so to speak. He did so, with his family and friends, said their goodbyes and prepared for his death. In the mean time a person who heard his story came to visit him and suggested a therapy alternative that might help. To make the long story short, this radical, unscientific according to the cancer doctors, therapy began. Now some 15 years later, my friend is still living and maintains a very active life. My friend still participates in this therapy, his cancer doctors, his oncologist, cannot explain what happened but they can find no traces of cancer in his body as he continues to be checked by them. Miracle? Act of God? Certainly unexplained by science and the doctors!
God is the answer, faith.

No, sometimes the body heals itself, sometimes it does not. And this is just an anecdote on an anonymous forum without any details about the case so that none of us can make an independent judgement about what really happened.

Skeptic and unbelievers understand that god does not exist. There are no rules of something which does not exist.

That begs the question: if god didn't want A&E to eat meat, why create them with canine teeth?
