Just in: Dems in PA want people to stop the count so they can APPEAL allowing republicans to WATCH the counts

They do not have the RIGHT to audit the damn ballot, they only have the right to observe the opening and sorting of the ballots..

well that is stupid. we should have all kinds of checks and balances on this procedure.

Describe this 'evil' that your mind believes exists.

Let's look at PA
step 1 - float the idea that mail in ballots are going to be a big problem
step 2 - take away or reduce any tools the Post Office might use to ensure that these ballots get delivered in a timely manner.
step 3 - stock pile ballots in postal stations - which ends up in court and the ruling is to send them out promptly.
step 4 - Go to court to make sure that any ballots that arrive after Nov. 3 are not counted. (court rejects claim - take it to scotus get a 4- 4 split
step 5 - Ignore the court order from step 3, until late in the day Nov. 3rd
step 6 - add another Supreme Court justice before the election
step 7 - Try step 4 again with a nine member scotus.
step 8 - try to get people in the room to slow down the counting while they think of the next move.

It is crazy to me that Americans trust other Americans to do their duty honestly and with integrity, unless they are doing it in a swing state.
It would be nice if someone could demonstrate that something nefarious is going on. It is bad optics to start to make this claim the minute it looks like things may not go your way.

I wish Republicans would cry in private. This public moaning is rather unbecoming.

This happens on both sides in every close presidential election. I don’t see the problem with efforts to ensure the integrity of the ballot counting process.

No, it does not.

I am not aware of any Presidential candidate in history who has pre-emptively claimed voter fraud.

Kinda ruins the point of a secret ballot if anyone claiming to be a poll watcher can demand to look at it.
Wow, now that is pure hypocrisy, isn't it? Mail in ballots by definition are not secret ballots. The Democratic Party demanded and established eliminating the secret ballot. Secret voting was required way back in the USA to stop the election frauds, buying votes, extorting votes, stealing votes, violence against people for wrong votes, demanding to vote for others etc.

Of course Democrats DEMAND that husbands have an absolute right to know how their wives voted, employers knowing how employees voted and visa versa and that anyone can try to control how someone else votes with an absolute way to confirm the person voted as ordered or required to. Democrats demanded elimination of secret voting, while demanding secret ballot processing.

This isn’t a thread about what the President says. It’s a thread about lawsuits filed based on the observations of poll watchers.

Really? Who was the last Postmaster General, before DeJoy, who did everything he could to make the postal service worse? He was given this job in June for this very purpose. It seems to me that in the past, to be successful in this position you had to improve service to the American public.

This is very much a thread about Donald Trump's dedicated plan to muddy the waters this election, which started months (if not years) ago, and of which entirely frivolous legal challenges are only a small part.

Probably the same person who was around the last time the DNC tried to convince State courts they have the authority to suspend decades of election law and create their own.

What about a poll observer saying he saw workers commingle invalid ballots with valid ballots for counting is “frivolous” to you? The whole point of the legal requirement to allow poll observers is to report and remedy irregularities and improper processing of ballots.

The same reasons the judge found it frivolous when they threw out the lawsuit.
