Just can't wait for the liberal excuses which are sure to follow

For a starters, perhaps the ones currently (and literally) hanging off of US transport aircraft in the Kabul airport.

So what about all the people at Kabul airport?

You haven't seen the videos. Your post is delusional. It was a murderous horde.

It's you and your fellow trumpists who are spewing fantasies. Take your "they were just tourists" lie to the appropriate thread.
What's the thread title?

Which post do you think you were "responding to"?

What excuses. What are we actually talking about here.

We never and I do mean never understood where we where in Afghanistan. We never understood who we were dealing with and how transactional they are. I have often chided that Americans have become incredibly transactional in how they view their politics. The average Afgan is an American to the 3rd power transactional in his everyday life, never mind his politics as I posted earlier today.

As soon as the Doha deal was done, the Taliban went off and started to cut deals with the Tribal chiefs with the security heads, with the government officials, with the officer class in the Afghan army, all people that were feeding from the trough of US greenbacks upon which the country floated. The argument they used to flip them. The gravy train is coming to an end. The result, the Taliban literally took the entire country without firing a shot.

Why we did not know at a very fundamental level that the die was cast as soon as Doha was struck is beyond me.
- Did we know and ignored what we knew?
- Did we not think it possible for the Taliban to cut so many deals so quickly, from Doha till now and them time their implementation so that the entire country fell like a house of cards?

Seems to me we are all clamoring about whether or not we can get our people out now and get the interpreters and their families out at this point. Had we even thirty more days, this would not even be a question. I do think its reasonable to think that we might have had thirty more days to get out and just as reasonable to think that in the last ten days the Taliban would accomplish more than we would have expected in terms of territory in sixty days. Hard to calculate that everybody was bought off in deals with the Taliban and thus nobody would fight. Then again we set the stage for that because we were buying off anybody that counted for anything ourselves.

There is and has been so much double dealing going on in Afghanistan I am not even convinced that the Taliban will be as vicious in their handling of the Interpreters. The Taliban has run into the biggest lottery win of their lives. They have more US military equipment than they know what to do with. They have the entire country. They have all the bases. They may end up so drunken on success that they are for at least a time magnanimous for the most part. That said I am sure there are some number that will be as ruthless as ever. I just don't think that in general that will be the case.

Do we have to get our people and the Interpreters and their families out? Yes we do and we cannot at this point depend on Taliban largess though they might just be magnanimous for a time.

Beyond that we need to finally learn the pitfalls, the costs, the utter lunacy of this Nation Building nonsense. Then I want to know why we did not figure out what would happen virtually as soon as the Doha deal was struck. The date the clock started was February 29, 2020 with an expiration date in May 2021.

Is that really how you see the US invasion of Afghanistan and ensuing 20 year phony "war"?

Really? Really?

Just "helping drag Afghanistan into the 21st Century"?

LOL. Ok.(y)😂
It was obvious that I meant this is a backward step for the women of Afghanistan and they are now in a fight for their lives after some of the freedoms they have experienced that we take for granted are likely to be taken away with the Taliban back in control.

What is going on in Afganastan is an unmittegated desaster perpetrated by Biden, his advisors and military generals. Unless you're brain dead you have to know that these Taliban animals are going to wreak havock on the local populace. There are already reports of beheadings in the streets. God help our Afgan friends who worked with and for the military knowing they were putting their lives in our hands. The Taliban crimminals will search them all out (as many as 50k), they will be executed along with their families. Why weren't they evacuated before being put in such grave danger? This is all on your savior and he needs to be criticized appropriately. can you do that? Have you seen the picture of Biden where he is hiding, sitting at a huge table all my himself? Talk about the vision of a LITTLE impotent man.

This catastrophe is going to end badly for the USA, too. He has opened our southern border, ended US oil exploration, and now begs OPEC to drill more oil, which will do what? Lots more monies will get into terrorists hands, and ease of access into our country.....gee, thanks Joe.

For the life of me, I don't understand how this guy is still the president......if Trump would of done 1/10th of the incompetence of Biden, he would of been impeached ten times over.

Biden and the lefty liberals cannot get out of this responsibility. Biden and his cronies totally changed the withdrawal began by Trump. Biden is the president, now, and not Trump, so take your bull and put it where the sun don't shine.

Doha,,,,Doha....Doha

It all fell apart at Doha. Trump started a timer on Feb 29th 2020 with expiration date in May 2021. All the rest was playing out the string from Doha. Don't like that reality. TOO BAD.

False on all fronts....the blame game does not work here. This is Bidens problem and fault, 100%. He is a failure of a president and must be removed from office. Hopefully they can get all of those people out of there before being killed, for all this blood is on Biden's shoulder, for he did not follow the advice of his military advisors, instead followed this path of idiocy. Yet, on this site, the culties of TDS still blame Trump.....it's too funny.

No it's not. But you keep pushing that narrative all you want. You have already lost. 69% of the American Electorate wants us to continue to get out NOW. Only 29% opposed.

Getting out of endless wars is good, yes, of course......but this crisis rests solely upon the shoulders of Biden....saying it's Trumps' fault is ridiculous on all counts, for Joe is president and the decision was his, period, end of story.

Trump was not going to leave in this manner, leaving behind all those who helped us.....Biden needs to step down as he has showed that he is incapable to lead this country. 2022 elections will not get here fast enough.....ole Joe is destroying everything called "American" in just a few short months.

Trump started the ball rolling with that ridiculous rag of an agreement that handed the Taliban all it needed to flip the entire Afghan Army and Security Forces. The Taliban started flipping them as soon as the agreement was signed. How did US Intel miss that. How did US Military Intel miss that? How did the State Dept manage to ignore it? Pompeo preparing for his Senate run maybe.

How did the Biden team miss it when they came in?

In the end, the Taliban was able to take what should have been 60 days to take that much territory into less than 10 days including taking Kabul because nobody fought from the Ghani Army and Security Forces. It was not that some of them laid down their arms. They all laid down their arms on command from the Taliban and in sequence no less.

There will be congressional investigations but if you think the start point for them will be the day Biden came into office, YOU ARE DREAMING.

Doha Donnie; Helsinki trumPutin;
Just check out the threads already created. Our resident Biden supporters have already trotted out every excuse they can think of.
The tapes of GOPs begs to differ with your lies.

Ignore the tapes of gop cowards and liars since trump sold out the Afghanis to the taliban and the Kurds to erDOGan.

You ever see the American Dad episode where Stan and the fam go to Saudi Arabia?
LOL, ya know those Muslims just may be on to something.

Doesn't take much to figure Biden is an idiot. Obama made him VP because it was the best insurance policy he could get. Nobody wanted Biden in the White House.
Wrong, 81 million voters did, they knew he was a better choice than the orange baboon.

Biden pulled them out and created a vacuum that Taliban was happy to fill. Just like ISIS did when Obama pulled out of Iraq. What Trump would have done was is called a "conditional" removal. Conditions were to be met before pulling each group out. Not pull them all out at once like an overeager teenaged boy. This is 100% Biden's fault. He ignored everyone, except Obama.
You mean like trump did in Syria, when he abandoned our Kurdish allies? Yep, master strategist at work there!

How did they "totally change the withdrawal began by Trump", other than extending the date from May 1 to September? Be specific.
