Just Another Killer Chicago Weekend - 6 Dead

Maybe we need to start charging 500 dollars per bullet at the gun stores, less innocent people would be shot I imagine.

The greater problem for the local inhabitants IMO is that air and water quality is diminishing which will probably result in far more people getting sick and or dying from unnatural causes than all the guns put together in the hands of the wrongdoers could ever accomplish.

Most folks will probably keep sucking on the corporate smoke stacks and drainpipes(it's good for business)while they believe those guns in the hands of criminals are out to get them.

If we charged 500 per bullet maybe we could use that revenue to clean up the water and control the air pollutants which would probably save more lives.

Now if we could only get the air pollutants and water contaminants to carry guns we would probably be able to see them more clearly and more people would take notice.

IMO there would more likely be a warning to not go outside today because the air is unfit to breath than because there is a gunman on the loose.

this is a strange bit of psychobabble but are you suggesting those of us who are serious competitive or even recreational shooters should have our sport or hobby ruined by some idiotic scheme charging 500 dollars a bullet

To piggy back, I think one of the challenges would be having the ammunition companies approve of this scheme too; I think the higher price might cut into the demand of bullets.

the only people affected by jacking up the costs of ammo are honest shooters etc. Its already illegal for thugs to own weapons and they normally get them on the black market anyway

The cost to maintain and supply our police force too would skyrocket, which may lead to some layoffs, departmental resource strains, ect. I'd imagine that they'd have to switch to other forms of weapons like crossbows, grenades, or spears, which would require additional training, and again extra taxpayer money. Not sure what the net benefit would be on society.
