No, we have judges who are preventing Trump from violating the law.Interesting. It looks like instead of an elected Chief Executive we have appointed judges that are now in charge of the government.
No one person is "in charge" of our government.Interesting. It looks like instead of an elected Chief Executive we have appointed judges that are now in charge of the government.
Sounds more to me that these judges are ignoring the law that's already in place. No, we have judges who are preventing Trump from violating the law.
You are wrong as usual.Sounds more to me that these judges are ignoring the law that's already in place.
That's true. That's why we have three co-equal branches of government with three different roles. The role of the Judicial branch is interpretation of the law, not managing the decisions of the Executive branch. No one person is "in charge" of our government.
WRONG.That's true. That's why we have three co-equal branches of government with three different roles. The role of the Judicial branch is interpretation of the law, not managing the decisions of the Executive branch.
Well, they really should identify that "overreach" before they stop it. I'm not really sure that an Executive branch decision regarding an agency of the Executive branch constitutes "overreach".WRONG.
The Judicial Branch has the authority to stop executive overreach. They always have.
Dump doesn't like it because he wants unchecked power.
And when the judicial branch correctly interprets laws, determining that the President’s action is unlawful, what do you suggest should happen? That's true. You're assuming that the Judicial branch decision is correct. And when the judicial branch correctly interprets laws, determining that the President’s action is unlawful, what do you suggest should happen?
Not quite. Judges decide if people’s actions are lawful. That's true. That's why we have three co-equal branches of government with three different roles. The role of the Judicial branch is interpretation of the law, not managing the decisions of the Executive branch.
I provided you with a generic scenario. You're assuming that the Judicial branch decision is correct.
Assuming that the president violated the law then the next step is impeachment.I provided you with a generic scenario.
What do you suggest should happen?
What law?No, we have judges who are preventing Trump from violating the law.
We'll see how long this kind of judicial activity lasts. That the judicial branch thinks they can take over a co-equal branch (for doing its job), is crazy.Interesting. It looks like instead of an elected Chief Executive we have appointed judges that are now in charge of the government.

Yep, and managing and directing the Executive branch is precisely what the judicial branch is thinking they can do. They think they can actually prevent the Executive branch for doing its job. They will end up quite wrong, IMO.That's true. That's why we have three co-equal branches of government with three different roles. The role of the Judicial branch is interpretation of the law, not managing the decisions of the Executive branch.
One of the upsides to this utter disaster is that you never have to have law and order discussions with the far rightNo, we have judges who are preventing Trump from violating the law.

Judes doing what they are constitutionaly supposed to do.Interesting. It looks like instead of an elected Chief Executive we have appointed judges that are now in charge of the government.
Does the president have to obey the law or not?
