You are 100% correct here. Based on the intentionally vague language they could take anything and everything from his home in the guise that the warrant allowed them to do that. After all, they went through Melania's closet, an egregious violation of privacy. The FBI was in the middle of this true insurrection, meant to derail a presidential campaign, election, transition, and administration with fabricated claims of collusion, lying to Congress and the American people, and then attempting to cover everything up via the Muller/Weissman investigation, including a recent raid on Mar-a-Lago to possibly confiscate incriminating Spygate documents in President Trump’s possession.

It is not so cut and dry! just because a document is stamped with a security classification, does not mean it is still at that security classification.
An example might be the presidents daily briefings, may be classified by default, but could be declassified by the president
for, well whatever reason he might want to. Whereas the justice department might want to see everything with a classified label
as a crime, there may not be any crime at all, depending if the documents continued their classification.
Then there comes the question of whose crime? If Trump ordered his people to send back everything, and things got missed,
that may not be a crime they can charge Trump with, but perhaps the attorneys who told the Justice Dep. they had sent everything they could find back.

18 USC 793(e) does not require the documents to be classified at all... They must contain "national defense information" which includes most, but not all classified material... You have to remember, the Espionage Act went into law in 1917 and the classification system did not even exist until 1951. A jury is who decides what is "national defense information", nobody else.

Even without the Special Master there is no way this would have gone to trial before the mid-terms.

The FBI has to much work to do now that they have - hopefully - the last batch of illegal documents out of MAL. They will be going to back to now answer questions such as:

• What was the source of each document?
• Who on the White House Staff was responsible for it?
• Who packed it for shipment?
• How was it transported (GSA? Other?)
• Where was it stored?
• For how long?
• Was it moved around?
• Who had access to it based on security video?

Basically build a timeline from legal possession of the documents prior to leaving office to illegal possession and recovery by the FBI once becoming FPOTUS.

Much of the timeline and chain of custody is already established. There are contemporaneous logs of the documents from the time they were created until they were recovered at NA. That is how the NA knew they were being lied to by Trump.

Well! I may have gotten this one wrong!

After seeing Trump's original filing in this matter last week, I thought the judge would laugh it out of court!

Apparently last Monday, the judge asked for additional clarification & additional supporting evidence from the Trump team. And, it looks as though she may have gotten it!

If a Special Master is appointed, it may be a big win for Trump & the GOP, as this adds a huge delay to the case including a delay in the possibility of filing charges. I'm thinking this might get them clear of the mid-terms, and get the case out of the media.

We'll find out Thursday . . .

I dont like Trump, but that raid was fishy since the DOJ refuses to allow the public to see the full, uncensored warrant. We need to know the truth if there was politics behind this.

The DOJ and Democrats will fight tooth and nail to keep the truth about the Russia Hoax, Jan. 6th. hoax, etc. Trump wants it all declassified. If he was trying to hide something, he wouldn’t want that, AND, he wouldn’t have had the cameras in Mara Lago recording everything 24/7.

Now it will be starting at the bottom and moving up the food chain with depositions under oath with perjury on the table. I could see that taking 3-6 months. More specifics will come to light as each rung of the ladder climbed as people cooperate in lieu of being charged with a crime to save their own ass instead of covering for the FPOTUS.

(BTW - I still don't think that FPOTUS will be charged directly. To much mafia influence keeping his name off documents, memos, emails, and texts - he will have done things verbally.)

If they line up two dozen FBI agents who testify under oath that they were there and they saw the documents in MaL, that certainly would not be proof to you. Any video they would provide would of course be "doctored" so that's no good. The only proof acceptable to you would be if Trump himself said under oath that he had the documents and he was entitled to them. And any judge or jury who would dare disagree with him are Trump haters.

However in this case there was a search warrant issued based on probable case and the boxes in question were in the FPOTUS house and contained illegally held government documents that fall under the Presidential Records Act of 1978 along with many boxes containing classified information.

I 100% support issuing a search warrant for any prior President that is illegally keeping presidential records and classified documents in their home against the law.

Please demonstrate any probable cause this is happening and then forward it to the FBI please.

I know Trump told you he's been investigated more than any American in history. You should Google all of the investigations into the Clintons. I don't even like the Clintons - that was Trump who loved them - and yet they were investigated more than others I can recall. Travelgate. Whitewater. Blue stained dresses. Emails. Benghazi. The Jury would never see the material to judge it, which I think is why they are asking for a special master.
