Procedurally the standard is to seat her when Congress comes back into session. Which is what is Johnson said he would do.

imo, Johnson should have never adjourned the House. Why, because while the House passed a CR the Senate had yet to pass a spending Bill. The two bodies of Congress have to agree on the spending Bill(s). Adjourning just adds delays to Congress getting any spending Bill passed for the President signature.

Mixed feelings on Johnson. Certainly pathetic on how he kowtows to Trump. But in that regard he is pretty much in sync with the vast majority of republicans in congress.

As a leader he has done a reasonable job at the task he has been assigned. He has gathered the needed votes to pass the bills the gop is pushing. (Regardless if one agrees or disagrees with those said pieces of legislature.

Both political parties are wormy rascals. But with Trump at their helm the republicans are currently much worse than the democrats. Although give it a few years and the democrats will rise again.
