Joe Rogan Admits There Was No Proof Behind His Story About an Angry Parent Forcing Her Daughter’s School to Install a Litter Box

Unfortunately, a large portion of CO elected Lauren Boebert.

She represents one district. Hardly a large portion.

She holds the 3rd district (of 7 US House districts) so you can't blame "a large portion" of Colorado.

It may have something to do with redistricting, but the 3rd does seem to swing unusually far party-to-party:

1992
Republican Scott McInnis 143,293 55%
Democratic Mike Callihan 114,480 44%

1994
Republican Scott McInnis (Incumbent) 145,365 70%
Democratic Linda Powers 63,427 30%

1996
Republican Scott McInnis (Incumbent) 183,523 69%
Democratic Albert Gurule 82,953 31%

1998
Republican Scott McInnis (Incumbent) 156,501 66%
Democratic Robert Reed Kelley 74,479 32%

2000
Republican Scott McInnis (Incumbent) 199,204 66%
Democratic Curtis Imrie 87,921 29%

2002
Republican Scott McInnis (Incumbent) 143,433 66%
Democratic Dennis Berckefeldt 68,160 31%

2004
Democratic John Salazar 153,500 51%
Republican Greg Walcher 141,376 47%

2006
Democratic John Salazar (Incumbent) 146,488 62%
Republican Scott Tipton 86,930 37%

2008
Democratic John Salazar (Incumbent) 203,457 62%
Republican Wayne Wolf 126,762 38%

2010
Republican Scott Tipton 129,257 50%
Democratic John Salazar (Incumbent) 118,048 46%

2012
Republican Scott Tipton (Incumbent) 185,291 53%
Democratic Sal Pace 142,619 41%
Independent Tisha Casida 11,125 4%

2014
Republican Scott Tipton (Incumbent) 163,011 58%
Democratic Abel Tapia 100,364 36%
Independent Tisha Casida 11,294 4%

2016
Republican Scott Tipton (Incumbent) 204,220 54.60%
Democratic Gail Schwartz 150,914 40.35%
Libertarian Gaylon Kent 18,903 5.05%

2018
Republican Scott Tipton (Incumbent) 173,205 51.52%
Democratic Diane Mitsch Bush 146,426 43.55%

2020
Republican Lauren Boebert 215,279 51.27%
Democratic Diane Mitsch Bush 190,695 45.41%

The 2020 redistrict has moved the 3rd about 3 points towards Trump, so Boebert will hold it.

By huge, I meant it covers a large, diverse part of Colorado. The western slope, ski towns, and Pueblo. I realize congressional districts are split by population. I've already been admonished in the thread and admitted defeat.

A little more information never hurts. Before I looked it up, I had sort of hoped the 3rd district would dump Boebert. The combination of a favorable redistrict, and the midterm advantage, makes that very unlikely.

Somebody pointed out in a thread or in an article comment that schools have kitty litter because that's what they use to clean up vomit. I had blocked out that particular elementary school memory.

There's another reason this story about litter boxes for kids who identify as "furries" kicked off - Back in October, NBC News reported that there is some truth to the idea of litter boxes being used in schools, but it has nothing to do with identity or sexuality at all. Instead, it is just another indicator of how our society is facing more and more lies as school districts preparing for lockdowns are accused of accommodating weird kids.

In Colorado, GOP gubernatorial nominee Heidi Ganahl insisted in several recent interviews that students were dressing and identifying as cats, disrupting class, and the state’s schools were tolerating it. Some children, she alleged, would only communicate in barks and hisses. Her campaign declined to answer questions about Ganahl’s claims, but in one interview with a local Fox affiliate, she suggested “there’s a lot of this going on” in Jefferson County.

The Jefferson County school district disputed Ganahl’s claims and said its dress code prohibits costumes at school. The district — where Columbine High School is located — has been stocking classrooms with small amounts of cat litter since 2017, but as part of “go buckets” that contain emergency supplies in case students are locked in a classroom during a shooting. The buckets also contain candy for diabetic students, a map of the school, flashlights, wet wipes and first aid items.

Sounds like the first "source" for the story might have been school kids teasing each other about needing the bucket.

I didn't think about the lockdown angle of it. I try not to, as people who I care about are in schools regularly.

Turns out that story about kitty litter installed in a school is all fake.

All sane and intelligent people knew it was a lie all along.

It's just sad that we have so many in people in America who believe the lie and will never believe that it's a lie no matter there is no actual proof of it.

Well, that freak Don Bolduc, who is running for Senate here in NH, repeated that stupid, ignorant lie to a bunch of drooling retarded NH Republicans, and you know how many of them actually believed it?

I have a casual friend in my neighborhood. I've known her for years and we both volunteered on a few Republican campaigns together. I saw her over the weekend, and she told me she couldn't believe I was voting for Hassan because Hassan encourages having litterboxes in classrooms.

I had to walk away, shake my head, and feel very sorry for her kids for having a mother who is dangerously stupid.

Don Bolduc, GOP candidate for Senate from New Hampshire repeated this ridiculous claim at a campaign event for supporters a few days ago.
How Republicans got so stupid so fast is a marvel.

Sorry, didn't see this before I posted about Bolduc. Yes, he said it. Yes, the crowd went wild. Yes, the lowest common denominator of NH Republicans actually believe him.

Rogan lied?
