It was a political protest which unfortunately spontaneously broke out into a riot. Nothing more, and nothing less, regardless of how much the left wants to over inflate it for their political purposes.

I recall being disturbed, upset and appalled but what I saw going on. It was a protest turned riot by a bunch of zealous knuckle heads one of whom was shot and killed. Somehow my wife (we live over 3000 miles away) knew a major thing was going to happen that day. The performance of the Capitol police was also appalling. Its clear Pelosi initially blamed herself for what happened that day until she came to her senses and blamed Trump.

The riot shouldn't have happened. The Capitol police alone should have been able to quell this riot but they should also had extra guards.

Bragg failed in that he partially or fully invented crimes and punishments and escalated them from misdemeanors to felonies.

With enough money behind that civil case and Manhattan courts / juries, the Dems got the results they paid for.

I have a clear conscious as well.
Given the two candidates, I voted for the one which had policies and policy directions which I think are better for the country.
That said, neither candidate was anything to cheer about.

Here's the problem trying to engage with someone full of willful ignorance. They won't accept facts or jury findings. When you get to the point where you believe juries have convicted someone on invented crimes and that civil juries were bought, then you no longer are operating in reality. You have shut out reality. You no longer believe in the American system of justice. It's sad.
