Jim Seals of ’70s group Seals and Crofts dies at 80
Associated Press
Jim Seals, who teamed with fellow musician “Dash” Crofts on such 1970s soft-rock hits as “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl” and “We May Never Pass This Way Again,” has died at age 80.
His death was announced Tuesday by several people including John Ford Coley, who had formed the ‘70s duo England Dan and John Ford Coley with Seals’ older brother Dan. Further details were not immediately available.

Seals and Croft were popular when I was in elementary school and had several hits back then. They both were members of a very obscure religion called the Baháʼí Faith.

Here's my favorite song from them from a live performance in 1975... Jim is the lead singer.

.

I'd be willing to bet I made out with a chick while one of their songs played on the radio.

Nice crisp audio for what appears to be a nearly 50 years old television broadcast. Good choice.
R.I.P. Jim

Well, yeah...not a chick but a guy, for sure!😊

This song was banned by several radio stations when it came out...

1974 Oh little baby, you'll never cry, nor will you hear a sweet lullabye.

Oh unborn child, if you only knew just what your momma was plannin' to do.

You're still a-clingin' to the tree of life, but soon you'll be cut off before you get ripe.

Oh unborn child, beginning to grow inside your momma, but you'll never know.

Oh tiny bud, that grows in the womb, only to be crushed before you can bloom.

Mama stop! Turn around, go back, think it over.

Now stop, turn around, go back, think it over.

Stop, turn around, go back think it over.

Oh no momma, just let it be. You'll never regret it, just wait and see.

Think of all the great ones who gave everything That we might have life here, so please bear the pain. Mama stop!

Turn around, go back, think it over.

Now stop, turn around, go back, think it over.

Stop, turn around, go back think it over.
