Jeff Goldblum criticized for 'dangerous and hurtful' comments on Islam during 'RuPaul's Drag Race'

The enlightenment relied more on moving away from dogma.

They used Christian principles found in the bible to formulate their ideas of natural law and natural rights so spare me your revisionism.

No I don't. I believe I JUST said both are bad. I even said one is worse than the other.

No.you chimed in with "but the Christians," in order to distract, deflect, downplay, and defend the crimes against humanity perpetrated against gays in the Muslim world. It's what you people do whenever Islamic intolerance is brought up because Muslims rank higher on the intersectional pyramid of victimology than gays and women.

Muslim gay discrimination is bad

Christian gay discrimination is bad

They were very careful to never mention christianity in the constitution

The US Constitution is a document which outlines the structure of government and its limitations... it is not a law.

A) that's called the supreme law of the land.

B) the Constitution includes its amendments IE the bill of rights which all statutory law must be in compliance with.

C) that you don't know that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land makes me think that you literally have no idea what you're talking about and that this entire conversation has been completely pointless.

The topic is about United States Muslims...
Again you don't get to frame the debate to fit your false narrative. The topic is the oppression of gays in the Muslim world.

That term is a racist term... "you people". Any semi-educated American would know this.

Ya you've gone from disingenuous false equivalencies to outright trolling.

Without a doubt.

Without a doubt what? That the Constitution isn't based on natural law and natural rights? If so then this entire conversation has been completely pointless as you don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about.

I really dont have to spare somebody i dont have the least respect for :)

So that would be a yes, you want to compare counseling and prayer to execution for existence. Touche.

Without a doubt there are no natural laws or rights. Your theocratic ideas are based on a falsehoods.

Again it is completely irrelevant whether or not you believe in natural law and natural rights the incontrovertible fact remains that those concepts form the philosophical basis for our founding documents including the Constitution and its amendments.

You should stop doing that

I'm not the one who chimed in with "but the Christians," in order to distract, deflect, downplay, and defend the crimes against humanity perpetrated against gays in the Muslim world.

Hatred against gays in all forms is bad.

Do you agree or disagree?

Every post you've made in this thread is irrelevant to the question of the heat received by Jeff Goldblum for his questions.

Frankly, no one really cares for your theocratic views, thoughts or philosophy. Nor your pedantic whining.

You need a time out and good cry, then maybe you'll stop with the hissy fits and feel better.

I'm going to pour myself a second cup of joe and deal with the daily realities of this life, take a hint.

It was an incredibly stupid thing to say

While it may not have been the appropriate time to ask the question, I'm not sure why you'd consider it a stupid question (or dangerous). It's almost perfect material for a soap opera.
The protagonist: an Iranian gay man in drag wearing female Muslim head wear from a country that deems homosexuality a criminal offense and carries a maximum punishment of death.

Spare me your false equivalencies used to downplay the atrocities committed against gays in the Muslim world versus the western world where they enjoy full and equal rights.

Well not full and equal rights in the US

So in other words you have no argument for the unequivocal fact that this nation was founded on the Christian principles of natural law and natural rights and instead have to resort to petty insults.

Goldblum took heat because gays and women rank lower on the intersectional pyramid of victimhood than Muslims thus Muslims must be defended at all costs despite the crimes against humanity perpetrated against gays and women in the Muslim world.

Which amendment in the Bill of Rights does not apply to gays? Which statutes target gays? I'll wait.

Are you saying discrimination can not exist due to the bill of rights?

Somebody never read American history

It isnt counseling and prayer, it is manipulation often combined with electroshock torture masquerading as therapy. You have already shown that you care more about demonizing your opponents than human rights.

That was a long time ago when the DSM still listed homosexuality as a mental disorder and those techniques were employed by psychologists and psychiatrists not Christian groups, modern conversion therapy practiced by Christian groups does not employ those techniques and is limited to counseling and prayer.
