Breaking: JEB! cuts staff salaries in half, dropout by Thanksgiving

Despite raising over $100,000,000 in the beginning of the year, Jeb has spent most of it and has a lowly 6th place ranking in the polls, putting his donors in a quandry and his supporters begin to switch to Rubio, Trump, or Carson.

This guy has spent ALMOST A HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS and he's almost down to Christie's level?

SERIOUSLY?

And you liberals STILL think he can beat Trump?

SERIOUSLY?

Trump is not going to be president. he is only a Hillary plant to suck up votes from the Republican party.

I want so badly for this to be true.

The cuts have ranged from the small for some staffers ($12 a week) to large reductions for four of the top campaign chiefs who each took a $75,000 pay cut.

Bush, like most Republicans, doesn't know how to budget. How the heckk does someone need a 75k pay cut in a campaign? JEB! was always a buffoon. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Santorum knows how to run a race on a budget. I wouldn't be surprised if Santorum becomes a consutant to the GOP.

...and the guys that are dropping out of the race are the Republicans best shots.... You better hope Kaisch gets some traction and does not become discouraged.

Jen Bush trailed only Carson in fundraising among republican candidates last quarter. His issue is not fundraising but poor management. He literally has no reason to drop out of the race.

Donors are wasting their money on Republicans. Romney lasted longer but donors got hoodwinked by him.

Bush has already proven he is an idiot- greed and stupidity runs in the family.

Excellent. It couldn't happen to a nicer or more deserving guy.

lol - When Kennedy blabbed national security secrets to his lover Marilyn Monroe, and she in turn blabbed them to someone in Mexico who later turned out to be a Soviet spy, the next thing that happened was Kennedy got shot. On the other hand, Petraeus did the same thing, he blabbed national security secrets to his lover - only in his case they ended up on the front page of every major and minor newspaper in the world - and Petraeus only got a slap on the wrist, he got six months' probation.

Word gets around. Google "Bush Mena Arkansas".

Jeb should have borrowed Romney's yacht flying the Cayman Islands flag.

I think you are looking for the CT forum

There are two types of folks who want Trump to win the Republican nomination: clueless Republicans and anyone who wants to see a Democrat win in 2016.

Truthfully, of everyone currently running, Jeb Bush is probably the best Republican candidate there is. Smartest, most sane, and has the best ability to appeal to a variety of folks. In order to win the Presidency, one MUST appeal to a variety of voters. Extremists never win.

don't be so sure. there's also the educated conservatives, like myself (masters) who are unhappy with a republican party run by the religious right. Trump is not an extremist, you have no evidence to support that position other than your own dislike of true conservative values.

Kasich has everything you're describing without the albatross of being a Bush.

Your assumptions have no credibility. Firstly, "true conservative values" are subjective. They are not for you or anyone else to claim. Secondly, if Trump is the best non-religious right candidate Republicans can find, they the GOP is in worse shape than most think.

I don't know as much about him, but with what I know, I'd agree with you. I'm not one, however, to just take the "Bush" name as being a negative.

you're the one who made a generalist assumption, and i slapped you down over it. now you're attempting to divert the argument because you know you've been called on its falsehood. Trump is your next president. period.

Trump is the closest thing to Ronald Reagan currently running. We all know how that turned out last time.

he talks the talk, walks the walk, and is the man for the job. i'm not interested in what the media says, talk to people, talk to voters, and you hear overwhelming 99% support for trump among people who would even consider voting republican in the first place. results will speak for themselves, the only question now is who his VP will be.

At one point Jeb Bush was the front runner, in July having almost 18% of the polling support. But with Trump pulling 27% and Carson pulling 22% today that leaves Bush somewhere below 8%. It would be a bit early for Bush to suspend his campaign as of now, it makes more sense for that 8% to get into the early stages of the primaries.

Now I do not think Bush will pull off the nomination either but there are far more Republicans in this race that should drop out far sooner than Bush. Like Christie, Santorum, Jindal, Graham, and Pataki. Christie because he is a big government loving spy on everyone asshole, and the others because they are pulling less than 1% of the polling numbers.

It is hard to fathom how pathetic this year's crop of Presidential hopefuls is.

Kasich is further to the left than Mitt Romney. Haven't you learned ANYTHING from the last election?

He has a reason. He doesn't belong in politics. He doesn't really want the job. He's only doing it because of his last name. He figured it would be an easy win because of the family name.

You are a liberal Democrat. You WANT Jeb to be the nominee, just like you wanted Mitt Romney to be the nominee. You want an easy election for Hillary.

Not gonna happen this time, pal.

Excuse me? The GOP LOST THE LAST TWO PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS to the WORST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY by putting up LIBERAL candidates.

Religious right?

Did you graduate kindergarten?
