Just watched JD Vance on Face the Nation. He sounded to me like a polished Nazi. He said he wants, fairness for all, as long as they are "properly vetted". And guess who will be doing the vetting?

Did he try to intimidate the person interviewing him by repeating their name over and over like he did with Dana Bash on CNN this morning?

He's nothing but a fast talking, flake.

He is smart, dishonest and nasty.

A child tax credit does nothing to encourage people to have white kids, idiot that he is. Low birth rates are natural as people no longer need the labor for the farm and gain education. From China to France birth rates are way down.
Also interesting, he wants no earnings cap on the child tax credit.
The entire idea of the tax credit was to help poor or struggling families. Give to a guy making 5 hundred k a years and it simply goes into his wealth accumulation.

Why do you suppose Vance addressed Bash by her first time so often during the interview? It's an old trick. And it only works when it's not overdone. Vance overdid it.

My feeling the whole time I listened, is Vance is a guy who just wants people to "do as they are told". It's that same creepy Stephen Miller vibe that is consistent through Trump's supporters. There is a coldness that's unnerving. They are the types who would say, "If you don't believe in Trump, once he is elected, we will beat it into you until you do". No one should be afraid, but everyone should be concerned. Vote Harris to preserve democracy. It's that serious.

I still intend to skip over the presidential choices on my ballot come November.

Had Harris tapped Josh Shapiro for her VP I likely would vote for Harris, not because Shapiro would be an equal partner with equal participation but because I would interpret the choice as Harris' intent to govern from the center or as an intent to govern from just left of the center.

I interpret choosing Walz as a signal she will kowtow to or be unduly influenced by the progressive wing of the party. We'll see what comes from the debates, her acceptance speech, and the convention's published campaign platform. There is still time for me to change my mind.

Yes, I watched him interviewed by Jonathan Karl on This Week with George Stephanopoulis. His said "John" many times when responding. He is clearly intelligent, but he is also slimy, creepy and dangerous.
