The House Select Committee investigating the January 6 riot has in its possession more than two dozen text messages between former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, a conservative activist and the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, according to multiple sources familiar with the messages.
These text messages, according to sources, took place between early November 2020 and mid-January 2021. Thomas recently revealed that she attended the pro-Trump rally that preceded the US Capitol attack on January 6, 2021, but says she “played no role” in planning the events of that day.
The content of the text messages may be of interest to the committee’s investigation, because it asked Meadows in a subpoena to turn over “both documents and your deposition testimony regarding these and other matters that are within the scope of the committee’s activity.”
The revelation of text messages between Thomas and Meadows, both key allies of former President Donald Trump, comes as progressives and some legal ethics experts see her activism as a potential conflict of interest for Justice Thomas’ work on some Supreme Court cases.
Note, they have texts, not some long convoluted story with a questionable chain of custody about a laptop that a blind repairman thinks is.....etc.The plot thickens.....

Poor Clarence doesn't need the added stress right now. It might be compromising his recovery.Rut roh......

I was trying to point to possible 'Collusion' between her and the WH in regard to the Jan. 6th insurrection. Maybe it becomes fact. Either way, Thomas is wrong not to recuse himself and his wifey might be in trouble.Yes but they aren't "fictious" texts, are they?

Will she refuse a subpoena or plead the 5th? Both would be a pretty bad look.
He must step down. He's hopelessly compromised.Rut roh......

If this blows up in his face, he's going to wish he retired long ago.Poor Clarence doesn't need the added stress right now. It might be compromising his recovery.
Well, she's been doing it for 20 years.I typically am of the mindset that husbands and wives are separate and should be allowed to hold their own ideals. But when one of the spouses is in the position to craft the legal system of the United States, I get jittery.

I wonder if she made any promises about a SCOTUS decision. That would be very damming for her, her hubby, and the Roberts court.Rut roh......

I wonder if Meadow's possible felony in violating voting laws could bring him to the table. Or are these separate state/federal issues?
That would be nice. We'll let you rally the two thirds vote the senate will need to remove him. No different than Trump's impeachment. Republicans could care less if one of their own commits a felony, they will stand behind him anyway. If Thomas survives, he needs to be removed from the bench.
Previously I was asking that he be recused from cases that his wife was advocating for/against, involved with.
Now he just needs to retire or be removed.
You're right. But what the hell, it's fun.It would be easy to go all CT on this and the fact that Justice Thomas hasn’t been heard from or any update provided in a few days.
Is that real?
So there she is pouring gasoline on the stop the steal fire. And her husband is ruling on cases related to it? It's flat out wrong.
