Sounds exactly like what Revelation does. One of our chatters who showed up in this forum a few months ago and is into repetitive sermonizing, also is into the repetitive posting of rather hateful religious-based cartoons. He has now posted and reposted the very same cartoons literally dozens and perhaps hundreds of times. So let’s take a closer look at the background of these cartoons:
“Jack Chick became somewhat famous through his "Chick Tracts," small, objectively bad mini-comics with a overtly Christian Revivalist message. He'd sell them to anyone, but they largely went in bulk to churches who would distribute them locally.
He only repeated one story over and over and over: "If you don't practice my specific form of religion, you're going to burn in Hell for all eternity." The stories were all poorly written -- even setting aside the wow-this-is-a-flimsy-straw-man-argument-even-as-far-as-straw-man-arguments-go exchanges -- with barely coherent plots and dated, tin-ear dialogue. Coupled with being so unapologetically preachy with a seeming naivete about just about everything -- for literally over half a century! -- it's little wonder these became booklets with high kitsch value.
But here's the thing about Chick: he spent his career espousing hate speech. Every one of his books damns some group or another, generally literally casting representatives in the pits of Hell. He attacked or demeaned, as near as I can determine, every type of person in existence except for those who practiced his specific religion. He seemed to be against so many types of people, it became impossible to take him seriously.
Chick spread hate and actively fanned the flames of ignorance for over fifty years and, as insane as it sounds to most (I hope) people, there's a contingent out there who lapped it up. Who said, "Yes, Jack, you're right! These heathens deserve nothing but disdain and I shall act accordingly!"
He claimed he only wanted to see people change their ways so they could be "saved" but that's as flimsy a straw man argument as any in his tracts. He cultivated hate and fear, and earned his living encouraging nothing but negativity.”

So there you have it. Just wanted to let you know a bit about the person who created all of those hateful cartoons tha we have been subjected to 9vdr the last few months.
Lemme see if I got this straight:
Hateful cartoonist dies 8 years ago - at age 92 - RIP btw - seemed like a decent fellow, all things considered.
Some unknown poster (not told whom) posts some of those cartoons here.
OP creates a thread about said unknown poster to (I guess) expose said unknown poster so we'd know more about said unknown poster (without identifying said unknown poster) to.... what - gossip about said unknown poster?
Sheesh, what is this, the third grade?
LOL. He was an angry, hateful hate-spreader with hate in his heart. But yeah. RIP Jack.Just so you know who Jack Chick was. RIP 2016.
The OP is strongly into myths.Lemme see if I got this straight:

I never held a tract in my hand, only saw his filth online, and the first time, I thought it was a joke. Ah, yes, Catholics and the "death cookie." Jews with huge noses. All of it. Hatred will never lead anybody to Christ. The Chick tracts? I have seen some of them. They were friggin insane. Alot of racism, and just hatred of Catholics and Jews in those.
Is it?The topic is the cartoons.
Several of us have already indicated we've never even heard of chick tracts, that is until now with your thread telling us about them - which if you think about it is rather ironic. The only way that many of us knew about them is the repetitive posting of them in this forum.
I'm sure there are - and now another one here on DP doing the same. The articles calling them hateful are from Catholics, Jews, and a cartoon critic. There are plenty of other articles on Google of various persons and organizations calling them hateful.
Turnabout is fair play, huh? And of course - loving? If the chatter gets to post them repetitively over many months, then another chatter (me) gets to expose their hatefulness towards many of those other than the religious extremists to whom he was basically a great hero for his hateful cartoons.
So there you have it. Just wanted to let you know a bit about the person who created all of those hateful cartoons tha we have been subjected to 9vdr the last few months.
What I find interesting however is your interest in them - aside from the "neener, neener" sneering tone you set in your first two posts; from what I can tell here and from your previous posting history, not being a Jew or a Catholic, you're certainly not the target of any of these tracts.
However, maybe they were posted in reply to some of your comments and you took umbrage at that. I don't know, but that was the context you set forth for posting this thread in the first place - not the comics themselves, but their repeated posting - how did you put it?
LOL. He was an angry, hateful hate-spreader with hate in his heart. But yeah. RIP Jack.
Well, thank you (not) for introducing them to those of us who've never seen them before, and subjecting the rest of the board to them - yet again. The “interest” in them is explained in the OP. After that, you simply surmise and guess rather than do any research as to how and why they are posted. They are nothing more than repetitive sermonizing on the part of the poster in trying to gaslight non-believers into thinking that they will suffer “eternal damnation “ if they don’t follow his guidelines. And yes, I take umbrage at his months-long gaslighting in what is supposed to be a DISCUSSION forum and not a place of constant sermonizing. Fact is, he hides behind them in order to avoid serious discussion.

I did and here is the URL -- http://www.weirdcrap.com/chick/intro.htmlJust for fun, look up the Jack T. Chick Parody Archive.
The site is rather ancient and no longer maintained, but I just checked a moment ago and it still exists. Has a lot of hilarious parodies of actual Chick tracts.

How close to the truth do you think this is?
