It's amazing how an election loss, even as big as this one, still doesn't put a dent in the thinking that lost it.

agree-----pot, kettle , black

No, you prefaced your opinion as the "truth". Read it.

Maher was right = the GOP voters ARE dumber than the rest, but you can't SAY it if you want to win..............no problem, I agree.........

So far it's been quite a ride.

We thought it was nuts with an inexperienced guy to lead the military and Matt Gaetz for AG, but each day gets more and more hilarious. Now we have the WWE lady leading the DOE, the toilet scammer for NATO Ambassador, and Dr. Oz for Chief Surgeon. No word yet on whether Marjorie will head NASA or Space Force, but either appointment would be in keeping with Donald's other picks.

Meanwhile, we got to see Donald utterly humiliate RFK Jr. by forcing him to eat a Big Mac filled with seed oils, toxins and artificial highly processed ingredients, in front of the entire world.

Vivek has declared an end to special needs education in the United States and will be pulling back billions in funding for the basic operation of K-12 schools in rural, white America.

Finally, the Russia-Ukraine war only continues to become more heated, two weeks after Donald Trump claimed it would be over.

Can you not think on your feet? There were experts that said all of the above were impossible. Experts can be wrong. And when you have opposing experts do you just default to those that agree with you politically or just saying what you want to hear?

You are using experts and appeals to authority in place of thinking for yourself and using critical thinking.
C-thinking uses available facts......from experts
I'll go you one better, a historian, Victor David Hanson, thinks Trump is a good President for this time and place. Does this change your thinking or is it just when the historians confirm your biases?
He is not a presidential historian (military mostly, and he is incredibly bias, but you have a slight point, but slight only

Okay, let's once again go back to your other post. You gave an opinion and said it is the truth.
It's not the truth. It's your opinion. I'm not sure how much easier I can make this for you, but at any rate, I'm done trying.

What is wrong here is you think facts arrive from experts, they arrive from scientific method, untainted by opinion and by theory which has proven to be fact. You test theory, you don't just expect the experts to have it right no matter what. You and I have very different ideas about where facts come from.

Bottom line- voting for Trump was a lot more stupid than voting democrat...........................no one voter should need campaigning to know that
So very true--frankly I'm tired of all of this talk about what we did wrong when anyone who has a real grasp of the country's situation knows the willful ignorance and idiocy of voting for Trump.

No kidding Einstein----that's what experts do
You and I have very different ideas about where facts come from.
Experts use facts and usually have them more together than most of us....

No I do not. I live in reality in The United States of America. In California.

A Democrat POTUS was in office during a crossing over of a border to enter Crimea. Russian Leader named Putin authorized that entry.

A Democrat (an open border advocate) Candidate for President gave permission via his Invitation to cross over our border to enter The U.S.A.

When that Democrat POTUS (the open border advocate candidate) was in Office…

There were many invitees who happily were wearing T-Shirts with the “open border advocate” POTUS ~ using his last name colored in blue on all their white T-Shirts.

What followed ~ Multitudes of invitees were crossing over our borders. All of those invitees were eventually called “The Newcomers”

All of those “Newcomers” were definitely favored over American Citizens in many ways. American Citizens became second class in favor of “The Newcomers”.

The (open border advocate) Democrat POTUS was also in office during a crossing over a border to enter Ukraine. Russian Leader named Putin authorized that entry.

That Democrat POTUS ⬆️ was also in Office during the border crossing into Israel by militants who were killing & taking hostages. Along with other atrocities.

Snippets from article follow ~

“LONDON -- Hamas militants broke through Israel's complex border security systems with the morning of Oct. 7, attacking the neighboring towns, killing hundreds of people and taking at least 150 hostages.”

“ABC News' Visual Verification team has analyzed dozens of videos posted to social media by Hamas militants and found they form a picture of exactly where -- and how -- militants were able to breach the border fence and penetrate into surrounding towns.”

“Videos then show them raiding a nearby military camp outside the kibbutz of Kerem Shalom where several bodies can be seen on the floor and inside rooms.”

“Another video from the Erez checkpoint shows the militants take hostages and lead them back through the wall and into Gaza.”

“Just as the light begins to change, trucks can be seen inching toward holes in a second smaller fence in Gaza behind the main border fence near the kibbutz of Be’eri, where dozens of bodies were found.”

“This is the picture of only six of the different crossings made by Hamas militants on the morning of Oct. 7. However, up and down the Gaza border, evidence shows Hamas militants moving in a coordinated manner at sunrise to make it across Israel's defenses.”
Excellent assessment and we should never forget that McCain knew Blinken well and said he was trouble. He got 51 buddies in intelligence to sign a phony letter and was rewarded the job he had now. He is a globalist and pressured Ukraine to join the UN which is like Russia putting nukes on Cuba.

If you don't know what scientific method is, I don't that you are qualified to talk about what constitutes facts.

Not just experts.

Maybe in your experience, of late institutions have let politics corrupt their findings.

So, all these people should continue to listen to you then? This is the same thing Bill Maher alluded to in his video posted in the O/P. The Democrats messaging is all wrong. Hence, how could their echo chamber's message be any better. All need to come down from their high horses after this election.

Minority working class voters explain to the New York Times why Democrats have lost their support

The Times report revealed that over the past year in their interviews of Latino, Black and Asian American voters across the country, they repeatedly heard the same concerns about how the Democratic Party had failed them.

Daniel Trujillo, an East Las Vegas barbershop owner, said he and many of his customers now feel the Democratic Party is the party of the elites instead of the working class.
"Democrats flipped," he told the Times. "They went from being for the working class to, if you’re not college-educated and have money, you’re not worthy."
"The right turned blue-collar and went full border-control, strong-economy and law-and-order," Trujillo added. "Who doesn’t want that?"
Voters told the newspaper that the Democratic Party's harried warnings about Trump being a threat to democracy didn't sway their vote as much as their concerns about the cost of living.

David Paiz, a 52-year-old maintenance worker for the city of Las Vegas, fled California due to the high costs of living and views Trump's victory as a new era of more opportunities for his family.
"There’s a lot of things that I want to do, that we want to do for our sons, for their future, to prepare them for success," Paiz told the paper. "But with the current administration, I didn’t see that happening. Now that Trump’s going to be our new president, I see a lot more opportunities."
Other voters who supported Trump in this election expressed similar sentiments about the constraints the high cost of living has placed on their families.
"People can’t afford nothing," Walter Mendoza, a 30-year-old financial adviser who lives with his mother in Allentown, Pennsylvania told the newspaper. "So I’m voting for somebody who could more manage [sic] the country better."
Instead of living paycheck-to-paycheck, Mendoza said he hoped that most Americans would now be able to afford "a couple nice things" under Trump's leadership.

Many minority working-class voters had come to view the Democratic Party as "condescending" and "overly focused on issues irrelevant to their day-to-day lives," such as abortion and the transgender rights debate, the report said.

Just as wrong as those who believed Kamala was qualified to lead our country. Voters make mistakes.

Um...except it was accepted almost immediately. Harris even conceded. You see, in a democracy, people vote. There is a winner. And that's that.

- There should be no declaration that the election is over as votes are still being counted and you are starting to lose.
- There should be no "perfect" phone calls to state officials to find votes.
- There should be no denying the loss.
- There should be no months of disinformation and false accusations.
- There should be no fake elector scheme to feign confusion on certification day.
- There should be no mob attacking the Capitol on that certification day, chanting hang the Vice President, because he refused to go along with the loser's plot to steal the election.

And considering that Trump still refuses to admit that he lost in 2020, perhaps your Kübler-Ross game is best directed right into the mirror. You people are still stuck at the first step. But that behavior is the new precedent. You made it so. If ever a Democrat actually does try to steal the election in the future, I expect the lot of you to accept it as proper. Because that is New America now.
Prior to the 2024 election the national Republican party implemented a national program deploying lawyers and election observers to prevent the kind of abuses and illegal actions that occurred in 2020. They did this to prevent Democrats from rigging another election.

Democrats spent over $50 million in attorneys fees in the 2020 election undermining election integrity. That pales in comparison to the $400 million in bribes to election officials distributed by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

This time Democrats were not as successful at corrupting the election although some Pennsylvania officials are directly defying a court order not to count defective ballots. It's an environment created by Democrats.

Thank You. And that pressure resulted in pushing Putin over the edge to go to war with Ukraine. I think…
It was a deliberate action used to pressure Putin to act and it was based on their knowledge that Putin had a Major Problem with Ukraine joining the United Nations.
If, it was not a deliberate action then it was an action based on stupidity concerning Putin’s actions in Crimea ~ February/March Year 2014. imho

“Upon Ukraine’s 1991 independence, over 1,700 Soviet nuclear weapons were left on its territory. Ukraine never possessed operational control of the weapons, and all were removed to Russia under a 1994 agreement in exchange for security assurances. Ukraine has accused Russia of violating the agreement with its 2014 annexation of Crimea, and again with the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.”

Hailing Peter the Great, Putin draws parallel with mission to 'return' Russian lands

Published Jun 09, 2022 • 3 minute read

“Russian President Vladimir Putin paid tribute on Thursday to Tsar Peter the Great on the 350th anniversary of his birth, drawing a parallel between what he portrayed as their twin historic quests to win back Russian lands.”

“Peter the Great waged the Great Northern War for 21 years. It would seem that he was at war with Sweden, he took something from them. He did not take anything from them, he returned (what was Russia’s),” Putin said after a visiting an exhibition dedicated to the tsar.”

“In televised comments on day 106 of his war in Ukraine, he compared Peter’s campaign with the task facing Russia today.”

“Apparently, it also fell to us to return (what is Russia’s) and strengthen (the country). And if we proceed from the fact that these basic values form the basis of our existence, we will certainly succeed in solving the tasks that we face.”

“Putin, now in his 23rd year in power, has repeatedly sought to justify Russia’s actions in Ukraine, where his forces have devastated cities, killed thousands and put millions of people to flight, by propounding a view of history that asserts Ukraine has no real national identity or tradition of statehood.”

“Peter the Great, an autocratic moderniser admired by liberal and conservative Russians alike, ruled for 43 years and gave his name to a new capital, St Petersburg – Putin’s hometown – that he ordered built on land he conquered from Sweden.”

“It was a project that cost the lives of tens of thousands of serfs, conscripted as forced laborers to build Peter’s “window to Europe” in the swamps of the Baltic Sea coast.”

“Prior to Putin’s visit to the exhibition, state television aired a documentary praising Peter the Great as a tough military leader, greatly expanding Russian territory at the expense of Sweden and the Ottoman Empire with the modernized army and navy he built.”

LOL Ukraine is an independent nation and Russia or anyone else has no business telling what they can and cannot do. Putin's belief that Russia own Ukraine is ludicrous as the US saying it owns Canada or Mexico.

Fortunately, we won't be hearing from Blinkin after Jan 20 next year.
He will be an afterthought just like Biden, Kamala, and Austin.

Harris who has worked in government her entire career has only the experience of an attorney general of California a senator from California and a vice president of the United States. I guess being qualified to you means. Being a sexual predator, a convicted felon, and adulterer, business bankruptcies, and a fake university and promises revenge on anyone who doesn’t agree with him

That is a false dichotomy.
She ran a lousy campaign. She had to quit the race in 2020 because she could not win her own state. California is certainly no good example of fiscal responsibility. It is the cesspool of wokism and Progressivism which voters have rejected.
And she was rejected by 75 million voters who believed she was not qualified to lead our country.
If CA wants her for governor, they can have her.

Is this an example of leadership in California of which Kamala was a part for so many years?

The state of California has over $270 billion in debt and local entities have over $230 billion in debt. California's total long-term debt, between the state and local governments, has quietly surged to over half a trillion dollars, making it the most indebted state in the nation.Nov 13, 2024

California's state and local debt is over half a trillion dollars

Warning: Mayer uses the F-word in his commentary.
"It's amazing how an election loss, even as big as this one, still doesn't put a dent in the thinking that lost it."

Bill Mayer, with a very sarcastic tone and lots of hyperbole, nailed why the Democrats lost the election. If they don't change, they keep losing. Isn't this what some of us have been saying to those who continue to double down in the defense of their team? He does not defend Trump or his supporters, just to be clear. He's telling the Democrats to stop digging their holes and learn from their mistakes. The entire party has become nothing but a Portlandia sketch. Take one week to ask what you did wrong.

It's because the left still doesn't realize that, eventhough the corporate media leans left, they are the biggest and worst propaganda network in the world. There isn't any self reflection or wondering why the media lied to them so many times. They just keep slopping up the corporate media propaganda like they are dying of thirst.

Please No!!! I live in CA. California is already a major disaster thanks to the leaderships we have suffered through for many years.
Our current Governor is a nothing-burger! Harris would be an even more disastrous Governor and the total end of California! imho
