Won't be AOC. At same point in the future, I can see it, but not yet.
So, let me get this right, you are asking our opinion, I give it, you don't like it, so you are going to whine about it now?
OMG, you are gonna whine, aren't you? You asked about a choice between AOC and the Trump successor. I gave an opinion on that question. If someone asks you to choose between Cats and Dogs, and you say Turtles, you have failed.
BUT............. according to the OP, you can't answer that way, you must choose between one of the two.........

Like Obama? If the DNC is smart they will not nominate anyone other than a straight white male to run for POTUS.
AOC or the Gov. of Maryland.........in a rational world they would be shoe-insHere we go.
It's 2028 and the presidential nominees are AOC and Trump (or Trump's successor). We know the policy agenda, we know the messaging. The table is set. Pick your candidate.
AOC is not my first choice, but she's a smart politician, has made pragmatic alliances with the center in the Democratic Party and is the successor to Bernie Sanders. I'm willing to compromise.
Sadly Obama is what set the lunacy of the fringe right in motion. IMO he's a good man and was a good POTUS, but what the nation need to recover from Trumpism in 2028 is for the DNC to take away the worst reactionary elements of the fringe right. Therefore - no women, no minorities, no LGBTQ candidates. Take that polemical ammo away from the red state culture crusaders.Like Obama?

Smart - now there's a word I would never associate with AOC.Here we go.

Not necessarily.Do you associate it with Trump?
Not necessarily.
AOC is way too polarising to make much sense for the Dems.
If Trumps successor is someone like him, I might just hold my nose and vote for AOC just to
get rid of a continuation of Trumps insanity, but damn that is an awful set of choices.
I hope that sanity returns to both parties,
but my expectation is that some awful maga candidate would try to continue in Trumps shoes.
I do think that AOC is smarter than many credit her for being, but she is too far to the left and probably lacks the sort of leadership skills that would be needed. I can't see AOC even winning all the moderate Dems, let alone the bulk of the independents.
Pick your words, smart or intelligent, not the same.Good, because AOC is several times more intelligent than Trump. In fact, name a right-wing figure smarter than AOC.
