When McCain was running for President it was right after people sent Bricks to Congress to build the wall. Now. He said that the wall was stupid and a waste of money, but if people want the wall he would build it.

Did it suck while Trump was president before (disregarding his awful response to COVID)? Nah. I mean, we were an international embarrassment and our allies distrusted us, but other than that, life was pretty much the same.

I'm hoping that a 2nd Trump term will be about the same. Yes, our allies will distrust us again and we are already an international embarrassment for electing him again, but maybe it won't be all bad. Doors and windows? Really? In this case, it would be doors and windows in an abandoned house in a neighborhood of abandoned houses. Every window would be broken by night two.

We are talking about two thousand miles of border here my friend. We don’t have enough Soldiers to secure that much border. Much less a Border Patrol. No matter how many miles of Wall you build, at whatever insane price it is, there will be people coming over.

And the other excuses are just as stupid. Oh we have to stop drugs. More drugs flow through our ports than across the border. Still more fly in on planes. Crews on Ships smuggle in some to distribute through the Dock Workers. There are probably a thousand ways they smuggle drugs in, and a small fraction is across the border carried by some illegal.

But you focus on that because after fifty years of the War on Drugs we haven’t made a dent in it. Trillions of dollars, Millions of years of Prison Sentences. And it’s going stronger now than it was when the War on Drugs was first declared by Nixon.
