It Must Really Suck For You People

We saw how he governed. He didn’t build a wall that Mexico didn’t pay for. He didn’t bring back factory jobs. He never built or repaired our infrastructure. He tried to set the civil service back to ‘The Spoils System”. He gave a trivial, short term, fed tax cut to folks like me and granted a vastly larger and permanent one to folks in that minority special interest class.

He’s doing the same thing, but more effectively, this time and he’s not even in yet.

We KNOW Trump. He has a PUBLIC RECORD to know him by.

You violated a simple rule smart people don’t violate. “Fool us once, shame on them. Fool us twice, shame on us.” You good folks let yourself get fooled twice. Shame on you for that.



She trades on being famous for being famous (infamous?). No THERE, there save for what she might have picked up along the way with belated maturation. She’s a “brand”. Just as Trump is. Remove the foolish public perception of non-reality scripted for their consumption and all that’s left is the “nothing there” that is real.

You folks truly live in a world of “alternative” reality and facts. It’s make believe. It’s not real and it’s going to cost all of us.

Please learn to DISCERN the “alternative” from reality. We’ll ALL be better off for it if you do.

I think we're beginning to see with the whole Brian Thompson situation that a whole ton of working class right wingers are starting to realize that the culture war - demonizing queers, minorities, and immigrants - is here to distract you from the class war.

The working class can only be squeezed so much before they break, and the Orange one is openly attempting to turbocharge the plutocracy.

I'll have my popcorn out enjoying watching Rome burn. The Uber MAGA will be sorely disappointed when their working class heroes, who are all billionaires, are only in office to enrich themselves, and not make any of our lives better.

I live, and made my living, in a world at street level where one had to deal in realities as its results were constantly in your face with real life and death consequences.

It forces its terms with instant costs for being wrong. So it’s not got a lot of wiggle room for playing with “alternative” perceptions. It DISCERN or lose something important to you. Like a limb, or a life.

When even if it’s bad it’s not that bad, like how we live and have lived for some time, we get fat and lazy. Lots of room for “alternative” perspectives because the costs are both delayed and not life or limb costing. They can be, and likely will be, at some point. You can’t keep making these mistakes. They are cumulative and eventually it costs in very real terms you can feel in very real time.

I think people can reach a point of such disillusionment that it blurs their perception for the want of something better that seems out of reach by anything other than the reality that disillusions them. They reach for the easier solution in the “alternative” rather than the harder decision; to fix the reality. It’s always easier to believe “the strong man” who says he has all the answers instead of the realization the problem is actually us and WE have to actually work to fix us.

Like a person dying of thirst in the dessert seeing an oasis that isn’t really there.

Mass illusion is possible. It’s not even all that hard. Get a big enough group leaning and it reaches critical mass and the masses tip over that edge. The rest, like myself, get dragged along. Willingly or not.

Why do you prescribe the success of the economy under Trumps first term as a credit to him but then turn around and put the agency on Congress in his 2nd term?

Guns should be grabbed from those who pose a threat to the local population. And the threat must be recognizable and not imaginary.
Who gets to decide? The local authorities or some federal bureaucrat?

Apparently, based on Trump's comment, anyone in any position of authority at all. Then the courts can look at it later.

I did like the economy under Trump. It was unfortunate the economy was shut down by a pandemic. After the introduction of the vaccine and the return of people to work there was no question that the economy would improve. It has always done exactly that. I am hopeful congress will work with Trump to fix things. The sad truth is both parties are funded by the rich and powerful. It is what they want that most likely will be done. I hope I am wrong. Cheap labor and higher prices are exactly what the rich and powerful want and was delivered to them thanks to Biden and Harris. Not likely they will give up what they paid for.
