Producers have already prepared for price increases. A handful have pulled the trigger. Today, my first distributor price raise was announced for the end of the year for my market. Pacifico, Modelo and Corona will be going up on price.

We got warnings on InBev and Coors products today as well. We’ll see what happens there.

Wine will be impacted as well. For you Costco/Kirkland folks…be prepared. For the rest of you, start to investigate your brands. Quite a few import from Europe but are barreled and/or aged here…those will go up (for those who drink Barefoot, that’s half of their wines). Oh you like Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, like Kim Crawford…well…

My industry is poised to raise prices based on what Trump May or may not do. Probably goes for others as well. Point is, prices aren’t going to go down, but most likely up. And you all need to get informed on all the products you like because there may foreign connections that may result in prices going up.

And Biden will have nothing to do with that.

I can not wait to laugh at my father-in-law when he complains that his beloved Modelo has gone up in price. He was putting those stupid " I did that" stickers on his local gas pumps.

And that's the whole problem. The balance is way off. If we all get tax cuts, you and I get a few hundred bucks while the billionaires get a few million. The rich get richer and poor get poorer. That's always been the plan.

Elon is a great example. He invests a few hundred million into electing Trump, and in just 5 weeks since the election, his wealth increased by $175 billion. I have a hard time comprehending that.

Even worse, our tax cuts were only temporary! A bone tossed to the naive!

I was vey pleased with the economy under Trump. The inflation we experienced under Biden I do not like or want. As a retired person on a fixed income when things I buy double and triple while my income goes up only a small percentage is a real problem and concern.

It will take time to undo the mess. That is certain. Trump cannot fix anything without congress. As long as our congress is owned by the rich and powerful I doubt Trump will get much done that doesn't benefit the rich and powerful. The rich and powerful are making a lot of money right now off of Biden omics. It will be very difficult to take this away from them. Especially considering the fact they own both parties. We saw the extent of their power when they told the sitting president he could not run for reelection.

I think that was done to simplify our tax system. It did help people who did not keep accurate records giving then a more general deduction over itemizing. Sorry to hear that. I was no longer self employed when that was done so it actually didn't make much difference to me. I think also the cost of checking and approving all those itemized deductions also cost a lot of time and money someone has to pay for. I look forward to seeing what he does different this time around.

I am not sure where you shop, but nothing has actually doubled or tripled. Prices have risen, but not that much. The price of a gallon of milk today is just a few cents higher than it was 4 years ago. Much has risen, but I can guarantee this much, trump won't do shit about it, because he can't.

Not just your industry, but the entire business community in Ameria will take it across the chin. Dow Jones lost again today and is down over 2000 points in just 9 days. Losing streak for the ninth day in a row. The reason? Trump's tariffs on the way.
