Theyve been aiding them all along...

Absolutely! and anybody who denies this is blind or doesn't wan't to see.

The news has been reporting on their supporting iran for a long time...its not a secret mya...

the options would include a proxy war against the US and Israel in the region, as well as a shadow economic war. it wouldn't take much to send the US into a depression, and China holds a significant amount of our debt.

the least poor option is to continue diplomatic and economic strategies until Iran demonstrates that its nuclear program is truly malignant.

Truly malignant????

nahhhhhhhhh it's only for electricity :lamo

Why does Iran have to demonstrate anything to anyone? Our foreign policy has demonstrated one thing and one thing only over the last 11 years. Get a nuke and we won't bomb you. They would have to be fools to not want a nuke considering all the things we've done to them over the years.

That's why John Nose Tip like lpast says

I think israel should fight it's own battles, the U.S. should take care of the economy at home.

this has certainly been a bonanza for the oil industry
israel keeps threatening iran, pushing oil prices higher
further reducing the rate of economic recovery
which can only hurt Obama's re-election prospects
the actual israeli government intent

Yes, israel has certainly played a negative role in oil prices. Next time you go pay at the pump, remember that..everyone should.

How would China launch a 'proxy' war against the US in the region, which really means launching a proxy war against our Gulf allies, whom are their largest energy partners (they have been divesting their Iranian import contracts btw), and with what resources and what 'proxies'? Furthermore that is not how the treasury debt situation works. 'Calling in' the treasury debt is not only not really possible, it would be catastrophic to China which trades in foreign currency reserves, and for a multitude of other reasons.

Sure, and if we are removing moral equivalency from the argument then its fair to say that an Iranian nuclear weapon is inimical to US interests and we should prevent it from coming to pass. Having an Iranian bomb is not a positive thing for the region, or for the US. Nor is it positive for the world as far as the expansion and potential pressures of proliferation.

How has it played that role?

Your a smart man, and i am positive that you already know. But i will waste my time, and reply.

Israel is beating the drum's of war, in the energy rich part of the world. That tends to have a negative affect on oil prices.

We can go into further details, but you already know the rest. Your entrenched support for israel, tends to effect the accuracy of your posts, and frankly i think that's a shame.eace

If that's the case wouldn't every single power that has been increasing the tension and pressure on Iran be responsible? Also the volatility of the futures market (and I oppose heaping this blame on speculators btw) in recent years has had much less to do with Israel than it has had to do with US/GCC relations with Iran. At least as far as that region of the world is concerned. There is oil and natural gas outside the Middle East and market pressures outside of security concerns, which we seem to be quick to forget.

I have no problem if he supports Israel. That is not a shame!

But more to the point ...who do you support?

I support nation's fighting their own battles, and not sacrificing American soldier's lives. Let israel do it's own dirty work.

World domination was never mentioned, and Justabubba has the freedom to like whatever post's he desires. Just like you do.
