Israel may have no choice but to nuke Iran

Iraq's population + army size & land mass is waaaaay bigger than Israel. Iran could conscript an army that is the entire population of Israel if it wanted.
And do what exactly. How do you think they are going to get to Israel.

Honestly it’s rather clear that you are just grasping at straws because it’s Israel and clearly they need to lose this war.

Conventionally, Israel has lost the war. Israel is getting its ass handed to it by Iran. Israel cannot continue at this pace. Tonight Israel was hit in three cities by a gigantic barrage of hypersonic missiles coming in so fast that the Iron Dome fails to intercept them completely. In a few weeks or a month at most Israel will be completely rubble. Netanyahu may have no choice but to exercise the Samson Option. But Putin has vowed that it Israel nukes Iran then Russia will nuke Israel.

Check out how bad Israel is burning right now as a result of Iran's bombardments:

Big talk without understanding all the nuances of nuclear war....

Here’s a wild and wacky thought…

Maybe—just maybe—Israel could apologize for acting rashly and hastily, and offer to compensate Iran (don’t worry, the U.S. taxpayer will foot the bill, as always). In return, Iran could cool it with the “Death to Israel” chants and stop pounding its chest like a steroidal Bond villain.

Oh, and while we’re on the subject of international tantrums, let’s not forget: Israel isn’t even a signatory to the IAEA Treaty, meaning it technically isn’t allowed to have nuclear weapons—yet it neither confirms nor denies having them. A geopolitical peekaboo that somehow gets a pass.

And if the bright idea on the table is to nuke Iran, maybe pause for a moment of nuclear logic—radioactive fallout doesn’t care about borders. That cloud isn’t just heading to Tehran. It’s drifting into Afghanistan, Pakistan, China, and yes, maybe even tickling the underbelly of Russia. Real nuclear powers don’t tend to appreciate surprise gifts of radiation—especially the kind that glows in the dark and makes your crops sterile. So they may choose to Return the gift to Israel!

So maybe, just maybe, everyone can chill, keep their proxy war playbook open, burn through a few more minions, and when they’re good and tired—sit down for some actual peace talks.

Diving Mullah

And Israel only has so many bombs, so much fuel & so much money. This isn't a video game. If they launched 600 planes, dropped 3 bombs a piece, killed 100 per bomb, that's 180k deaths. Million+ more to go. It's clear you can't do basic algebra.

Why do you think war is determined solely by killing civilians?

Israel does only have so many bombs, but unlike Iran's inaccurate ballistic missiles, they can actually reliably hit things that actually matter. Israel doesn't have to use their bombs to try to individually kill Iranians. They can destroy Iran's power infrastructure, its factories, its oil facilities, etc.

@ScrambledEggs thinks Iran can just invade Syria, Iraq, and Jordan and easily beat their militaries and then invade Israel at the end of a 2,000 mile long supply line going through hostile territory.

Honestly it’s rather clear that Israel losing to Iran is just what he wants to happen so he will make up endless amounts of BS to support that goal.
That or he is simply completely clueless on this topic but has to much pride to about he got caught talking out his ass.

I mean, I don't want Israel to "win" either. But they will. Israel simply has too much capability to strike at precision, high value targets in Iran and achieve the limited objectives they are seeking, and Iran can't really do anything about it but flail with ballistic missiles and randomly kill civilians.

It's not "pro-Israel" to simply recognize facts of reality.

Two things can be true:

Israel does not possess the capacity to occupy, defeat or completely destroy Iran.

Iran does not possess the capacity to occupy, defeat or completely destroy Israel.

Yes that is the difference between looking at things rationally and letting your emotions outweigh your thinking ability.
He definitely doesn’t not seem to be able to get past his emotions.

Iran could barely hold their own against Iraq.
And there is not much to indicate they have improved much since then.

They have more missiles than Israel has the means to defend them.

And Israel has near complete air superiority over large parts of Iran.
And a vastly better equipped military.
And I highly doubt Israel intends to occupy Iran.

If your argument is that Israel has a superior military, there's no argument - they do. The US had a superior military to Vietnam. The Ukrainians, though they don't have the sheer numbers that Russia does, has outperformed Russia's military, but they're still losing. A superior military doesn't guarantee victory.

Israel is not only a small country; it's also an ethno-state. It is a country that depends on having a dominant ethnic majority. It wouldn't take a particularly large number of Iranian missiles to inflict serious damage on Israel's economy and sense of national security.

Both countries could inflict serious damage on each other. Iran probably has many more missiles it can fire, and of course, Israel has nukes.

I'm not so sure. I think there is little risk of Israel using nuclear weapons. They would become a pariah state overnight and put something of a target on the back of pretty much every person of Jewish faith on the planet. And Iran has a great many missiles to explode in the air or hit parking lots. In the grand scheme of things, this "12 day war" didn't do a great deal of damage on either side.

it may end up being regarded by history as the "12 Day Kerfuffle."

I agree. But if the Iranian people reeaalllllyy wanted to and could stomach the deaths millions of soldiers, they could via brute force. That was my point about the meat grinder and their population / demographics. You could kill 50million Iranians & the population of Iran would still be almost 5x that of Israel.

"The recent exchange of rockets between Israel and Iran, which started around June 13, 2025, began with Israel launching airstrikes targeting Iranian military leaders, nuclear scientists, uranium enrichment sites, and ballistic missile programs"

Israel, started this. They have nukes, but Iran can't. What do you expect when anyone is attacked? America, Ukraine, and anyone else will retaliate when attacked. Your crying wolf claiming Israel, "will be completely rubble", unlike Israel actually turning the West Bank into rubble, it won't happen to Israel.

If Israel nukes Iran in an attempt to stop Iran's nuclear program, they'll deserve what's coming...

It wouldn't work.

The two countries are not physically close, and Iran has no way to get forces to Israel's border. If they are moving, even millions of troops are no match for airborne munitions.

Indiscriminately bombing Israel, which seems to be mostly all Iran is capable of doing, is not going to win any war.

Which only matters if Israel tries to invade and occupy Iran. Which they have shown zero interest in doing.

Israel may be small but they have a higher GDP than Iran. Irans economy has already been crippled by sanctions. It would not take much to cripple it even further.

If committing a genocide doesn't already make them a pariah state, firing a nuke at Iran probably won't move the pariah needle much. I think they'd only do that as a last resort, but last resort could be something like Israel losing a war it started.

I wouldn't assume this is over. This confrontation has been decades in the making. It's existential for both.

How exactly are they going to do that. Do you think they will walk to Israel. Do you think Iraq, Jordan and Syria are just going to let them invade thier country.

What ability do you think Iran has to support those millions of soldiers 2000 miles away from home. All while Israel has total air superiority.

Your lack of knowledge on this subject is stunning.

Idk you'd have to do the math. How many pilots does Israel have. How many bombs. How many planes. How long to refuel, etc. At what rate can they drop the bombs. And given all this at what velocity do you send bodies. If it takes 50 hours to get to Israel, how many bombs can Israel drop per hour. And when do they run out, without support from other countries.

Israel started this only if you ignore Irans funding and running of terrorist organizations that have been attacking Israel for decades. But yeah ignore reality and you can dream up any scenario you want.

The key term here is "war" specifically what's meant by it. These are two belligerent nations who despise each other but unfortunately are separated by thousands of miles of other countries, and neither has the ability to actually push the other to an unconditional capitulation (short of Israel initiating a literal dozens-of-weapons nuclear holocaust on Iran). So, neither can particularly win a war, at least by the definition of what usually constitutes military victory, nor can either particularly lose one. The most either can do is give each other bloody noses, again and again and again, with Israel being able to inflict the bloody nose more often, and Iran being able to take the punch more often.
I wouldn't assume this is over. This confrontation has been decades in the making. It's existential for both.
I agree. There will be many kerfuffles for decades to come. However I doubt there will be many "wars" in the traditional sense of a land invasion. Instead this will be a war of missiles, bombs and spies.

Israel, didn't start this current, 'war' with Iran because of past terrorist attacks, I'm not the one ignoring reality...

If you think the Iranian people in mass are just going to mindlessly walk two thousand miles while getting relentlessly bombed you are fooling yourself.
And how do you think they are supporting those millions of people. What are they eating. How are they keeping their vehicles fueled.

If you think Iran spending decades attacking Israel has no bearing on this you are fooling yourself.
Had they not why do you think Israel would care what Iran did.

Hard to figure out why Israel would not want the people who have been constantly attacking them through proxies and had the destruction of Israel as one of their national
aims to not have nuclear weapons.
